Welcome to our holiday home! Newly renovated, Villa Mimosa is a trullo and lamia with a modern extension. It is situated in a private road, 6 km south of Martina Franca, in the peaceful, unspoilt countryside of the Valle d'Itria. Villa Mimosa has its own private pool and 3 acres of land including a vineyard, an olive grove, every variety of fruit and nut tree and a small pine wood. Linen, towels and beach towels are included. Laundry is changed once a week. Initial and final cleaning are included. |

Villa Mimosa is non-smoking.
During the cooler months - logs for the open fire are provided free of charge.
Central heating gas consumption is charged at cost price - currently 0.57 per litre.

Outside
Roman steps lead into the private 5m x 10m pool which has a shallow end of 1.00 m and a deep end of 2.20 m. There is a terrace with sunloungers and an outside shower beside the pool.
In front of the villa is a terrace which is partly shaded by a pergola and has a barbeque and patio furniture. Gardens filled with jasmine, roses, thyme and rosemary surround the terraces.
Coast/Beach
There is a 45 minute drive to the beaches on either the Adriatic or the Ionian coasts. Puglia has 760 km of coastline offering beautiful bays with sandy and rocky beaches. From the Adriatic to the Ionian Sea, the coastline is sprinkled with bathing resorts, including famous thermal resorts on the Adriatic coast.
Travel
Bari and Brindisi Airports are 70 minutes drive.
A car is essential to enjoy the surrounding area.

Driving distances:
5 min. to the nearest restaurant which is in a Masseria (old farmstead).
10 min. to the Aquapark.
15 min. to the centre of Martina Franca.
20 min. to Locorotondo.
30 min. to Alberobello.
Less than 15 minutes: ice cream parlours, pizzerias, restaurants, historic sites, a theatre/cinema and shops.
Less than 45 minutes: beaches, horse riding, golf, safari park, theme park and grotto.

Baby-sitting can be arranged.
On request at 'Il Ritrovo degli Amici' (Meeting place for Friends) - Mamma Giovanna cooks delicious local dishes and serves them to you under the cool pines in her front garden. A truly Italian experience (10 mins walk).
The Grape Harvest - a mini grape harvest takes place at Villa Mimosa at the end of September beginning of October. We pick in the morning have a harvest lunch (outside on the terrace last year!) and the wine presser comes over in the afternoon. The resulting liquid eventually turns into another year’s supply of wine.
The Olive Harvest - we collect our olives in early to mid November at Villa Mimosa, only on warm sunny days otherwise it is not a pleasure. We usually picnic (with our own wine, of course!). The olives are taken to the olive mill for pressing into our own delicious, extra virgin olive oil.
