Villa Alberto is a detached stone villa set on two floors, arranged as 4 independent self contained 2 bedroom apartments, with private parking in a private road with wonderful views overlooking the sea, the bay of Santa Maria, surrounding countryside and the island of Capri. The villa nestles in its own grounds and is surrounded by plants, orange, lemon, almond, cherry, walnut, apricot, plum trees and a small vegetable garden. Each apartment is simply but tastefully furnished, comprising two bedrooms, a bathroom with walk in shower, each with a combined sitting / kitchen / dining area with a wrought iron French style day bed to accommodate a 5th person. (Apartment 1 can accommodate 6 people). All rooms are light and airy, having either double doors or large double shutter windows opening out on to spacious terraces or patios. All apartments have either large terraces and 180 degree balconies or patios which surround the villa for a complete all round view of the bay and countryside.

Changeover day
Rental is on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday - flexible out of season, and is ready for check in from 4pm and check out is at 10am to allow for cleaning time.

Notes on accommodation
Rates are per apartment, and are inclusive of: Water, gas, electricity, bed linen (sheets, pillow cases and bathroom towels - supplied once weekly), and the cost of standard basic final cleaning on departure. We request that the apartment is left in a similar condition to which it has been found.
Outside
Each apartment has its own tables and chairs for outside dining, parasols and garden furniture for relaxing in the sun.
Coast/Beach
The adjoining coastal village of Santa Maria takes only 5 -10 minutes by car (2.5 km) and is accessible by foot in half an hour (for those who like walking) or within 10 minutes by local bus - the nearest bus stop is roughly 10 mins walk from the villa. Here you will find fine golden sandy beaches and shallow waters which have once again been awarded the blue flag for clear sea and clean beaches.
Travel
The nearest airport is Naples other options are Rome or Lamezia. Cars can be hired at Naples airport - the drive is roughly one and a half hours to Castellabate. Trains can be taken very cheaply from Naples to Agropoli - which is the nearest station to Castellabate (Agropoli is roughly 15 minutes by car from Castellabate).
Pick up and drop off can be arranged from Naples and from Agropoli with a couple of days advance notice.
Distances
Villa Alberto is only a short distance (10 -15 minutes walk) from the historical centre of Castellabate - the largely undiscovered mediaeval hill top village which overlooks the beach resorts of Santa Maria and San Marco.

The living, working village of Castellabate is a much undiscovered traditional Italian mediaeval hill top village with a maze of ancient streets, alleyways, local restaurants, shops and spectacular views over the bays of Santa Maria, San Marco, the surrounding countryside and the Island of Capri.
Castellabate and The Cilento National Park have been recognised by UNESCO as world heritage sites since 1998.
Booking notes
Deposit and balance: The deposit is 30%, payable in advance and the balance two weeks prior arrival. Damage, breakage, excess cleaning deposit: We kindly ask that all clients pay a cash deposit on arrival of either 100 pounds or 150 euros (refundable on departure) to cover eventualities such as the cost of breakage, damage or excess cleaning.
