Located in Valfiorita (Negrar) just 10 km west of Verona in the wine making region of Valpolicella. It is the perfect base for exploring the historic city of Verona and provides a great stay during the opera season (July to August). There are numerous outdoor swimming pools with bar/lounging areas nearby. Lake Garda and the lakeside resorts of Lazise and Bardolino are ca. 30 min drive away. Sirmione is ca. 40 min drive away. Venice and Milan are approx. 1 hour by train and make ideal day trips. The 'villetta' is very comfortably furnished. The accommodation has been arranged with 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom on the 1st floor and 1 family room (including a double and 2 twin beds) on the 2nd floor. There is a family bathroom on the 1st floor and shower room/separate WC downstairs. There are 2 fully equipped kitchens, a laundry room with 2 washing machines, FCH, open log fire and TV/DVD. There are 2 small terraced areas for dining alfresco or simply relaxing.

Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday but can be flexible out of season. Checkout please before 10:00 and arrival after 15:00. Long weekends also available on request.

Accessibility
Several steps lead down to the front door from the parking area located only paces from the front gate. Internal arrangement is not suitable for people who find stairs difficult.
Outside
With a small terraced garden, 2 paved terraced areas containing wicker sofas, sun beds, parasol and a picnic table. Two lower terranced grass areas. Guests are invited to water the garden during their stay during dry spells.
Coast/Beach
Venice beach is approximately 1.5 hours by car. The most northern point of the Rimini coastal resorts are approx. 2 hours by car. Nice (Fr) has been reached in 4 hours by car.
Golf
Sommacompagna (20 km) is a testing parkland course and probably the best course in the area.
Villafranca (20 km) is a flat but testing course amongst the vineyards.
Marchiaga (Lake Garda, 25 km) has spectacular views over Lake Garda.
Garda Golf (30 km) is a championship course which has held the Italian open.
Palazza Arzarga (35 km) is a championship Niklaus designed course.
Skiing
The low altitude resort of San Giorgio in Val Pantena is 45 minutes by car. Beginners and intermediate slopes only. Sledging popular in surrounding hills to north of Negrar, including childrens snow parks and an ice rink at the town of Bosco Chiesanuova.
Special interest holidays
We can provide maps for the famous local vineyards of Valpolicella. We can organise tickets for the opera in the arena, Verona upon request. Lake Garda and all its attractions are 30 min away by car. Gardaland 30 mins by car, under 1m free.
Travel
Nearest airport in Villafranca (Verona) ca. 15 km (British Airways, Gatwick). Verona Brescia (Ryanair, 70 km), Milan Bergamo (Ryanair, 120 km) and Venice Treviso (Ryanair, 120 km) represent cheaper options. All flights are at least daily.
Distances
The centre of Verona is 10km (15 mins by car). Negrar Town 5 minutes by car, church services, cafes, local facilities. The resorts of Lazise and Bardolino on Lake Garda are 30 mins by car and Sirmione is 40 mins.

Supermarket 10 min walk (closed Monday), hospital 5 min by car (Negrar), internet cafes Verona, ATM 5 mins by car. Late night bar, small shopping centre and cafe 10 mins walk.
Booking notes
£250 deposit on booking with remainder at least 4 weeks before travel. For last minute holiday, all monies accepted at time of booking.

House swap considered, require one double bedroom, twin room and cot. Kitchen and dining area a must. Local shops 10 mins walk max. England, New Zealand, Australia.
