Accessibility
Mountainous surrounds and rough stone steps up to the cabin. Not suitable for wheelchairs, but lovely if you have strong arms to carry you up. The cabin is all on one level inside.
Outside
Veranda with table and chairs - overlooks the valley. Secluded garden with natural stone cliff boundaries. You can walk from the garden directly up into the mountains.
Coast/Beach
2 minutes drive, or 15 minutes walk to the beach.
A shallow river circles the beach and flows into the sea . It is ideal for children. The sea is crystal clear and ideal for snorkelling and diving. There is a ganet colony on an island in the bay.
Travel
A car is necessary.
The nearest airport, train and bus stations are in Cork.
By Air: daily flights to Cork from Europe with Aer Lingus, Ryan Air, Air Arran.
By Sea: ferries from France and UK to Rosslare (6 hours drive to Allihies).
