Lough Corrib (at the end of the lane) is a world-famous haunt for anglers. Horse-riding and bicycle-hire are available locally. A fine 18 hole golf course is just minutes away and a 20 minute drive will take you to Connemara's majestic mountains or to lively, historic Galway City. This is the fabled holiday resort of famous writers to name a few: Oscar Wilde, W.B.Yeates, Lady Augusta Gregory and John Synge. This luxurious cottage is situated on one-half acres, a sublime retreat after a long journey. Amelia, the owner, is a cosmopolitan jem: she has lived in La Jolla, California and Italy, is privileged to be a Joyce fom Joyce country and her knowledge alone is worth the trip - all the secrets of her beloved Connemara.
