Beautiful house with a large enclosed garden located at the end of a quiet country lane close to the sea. Roscaragh stands on the headland of the Caragh River and Dingle Bay in south-west Ireland, 1.5 miles from the village of Glenbeigh, with its shops, pubs and restaurants. Glenbeigh is located on the Ring of Kerry, the picturesque road that hugs the rocky coastline of the Iveragh Peninsula and circumnavigates the MacGillicuddy Reeks - Ireland's highest mountain range. Roscaragh is ideal for walking, golfing, riding, fishing or just sighteeing and swimming. The Blue Flag Rossbeigh beach, 10 mins drive away, is a magnificent 3-mile stretch of sandy beach and dunes, ideal for children. The house is tastefully furnished and fully equipped. Much of the furniture has been hand-made and hand-painted to combine traditional and modern styles; the floors are timber, slate or terracotta; there are large windows to take advantage of the sea and mountain views, and there is an open fire.

Further details
Glenbeigh has a supermarket and petrol station, various other local shops, a pub and two old established hotels with public bars and restaurants. The Olde Glenbeigh Hotel is just over a 1 mile walk from Roscaragh. The hotels in Glenbeigh have traditional music from time to time during the season. Killorglin is a much larger town and has many more shops, pubs and restaurants, many with traditional music. Killarney is the main centre for touring Kerry and has many more facilities and things to do, including the Lakes of Killarney, the Killarney National Park, Muckross House and Model Farms, and horse-drawn jaunting cars to transport you around them. There is good salmon and trout fishing in the lakes and rivers near Roscaragh and bass and mullet can be fished for from Rossbeigh Strand. Sea fishing trips can be made from Kells Bay, Port Magee and Ballinskelligs, down the coast, and boats can also be taken from here out to Skellig Michael, a pinnacle of rock in the Atlantic that is home to hundreds of puffins and has an ancient monastery perched 600 feet up at the top. You can pass dolphins, seals and one of the world's largest gannet colonies on the way. As well as being close to the Ring of Kerry scenic drive, Roscaragh is also close to the Kerry Way - a waymarked walkers route around and through the MacGillicuddy Reeks.
