From the windows, you can see the Irish Sea, Sheep Island, Rathlin and on a clear day Scotland. Whitepark Bay, Port Ballintray, Portrush, Portstewart and Ballycastle sandy beaches are within a radius of 10/15 minute drive. Centrally placed for access to golf courses at Portrush, Bushfoot and Ballycastle. You can walk from Ballintoy along the stunning coastal path to Whitepark Bay beach.

Changeover day
Change over day is Saturday, but may be flexible. Initial deposit of £100 to secure booking and as damage deposit refundable at the end of your stay if the property is left as you found it. Arrival after 3pm, departure before 11 am.

Bathrooms: En-suite comprising power shower, sink and toilet. Main bathroom, bath with luxury central telephone taps, corner power shower, basin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Kitchen: Range cooker/gas hob, electric double oven extractor fan above. Built in fridge, freezer, dishwasher. Belfast sink, pull out larder, microwave, kitchen. Table seats 6, with leather chairs.
Utility Room: Equipped with sink, Clothes washing machine, tumble dryer. Built in cupboards containing ironing board, steam iron and vacuum cleaner.
Living Rooms: Lounge 19'9" x 12'10" including television, DVD player, VCR player. Rustic brick fireplace with multi fuel burning stove. Two three seater leather sofas, coffee tables. Small extending dining table.
Other: Charming sun lounge leading from kitchen, comprising large sofa, coffee table, flat screen television with satellite receiver. Patio doors leading to secluded paved area leading to raised back garden including summer house and barbecue decking area.

Please note that there is now Wi-Fi available in the cottage, BT Infinity just installed, Time moves on !However mobile phone reception is nil in the house, but is available nearby... so peace and quiet !
A landline phone is available in the cottage.

Ten minutes stroll to Ballintoy Harbour and Beach. Scenic coastal walks to the famous Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge and to the magnificent Beach at Whitepark Bay. Ten miles to world famous Giants Causeway and daily ferry to Rathlin Island from Ballycastle.

About the owner
My wife Hilary and I live in Northern Ireland we have 2 grown up children and a 6 year old Yorkie cross pet dog. Hilary and I both work near Belfast in County Down, but love the opportunity of visiting the beautiful north coast. My wife and I enjoy holidays abroad, but nothing seems to compare to the peace fullness of Ballintoy and the surrounding countryside and beaches.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We looked long and hard for a holiday home on the magnificient north antrim coast and fell in love with the quiet village of Ballintoy and the stunning walks just literally outside the door.

Unique benefits of the property
If you want peace and quiet this is it. However with 2 pubs/restaurants only 2 minutes walk away in the village, where you can hear some of the best traditional Irish music.
