Water sports are in abundance with local water sport adventure centers in Valentia, Ballinskelligs and Derrynane.

A follow up to the Ryder Cup 2006: Two major championship golf courses in Waterville are within 5 minutes drive. A paradise for the active golfer, with the second golf course now playing at Waterville headland at a green fee of 70 euros Summer season. First full year opened 2006. Waterville championship Links course (Woods, Omeara members... their Irish training course annually prior to the British Open). Two full sets of men's golf clubs available for use by guests of the house, 1 Taylormade and 1 Cleevland TA 7s.

Special interest holidays
There are several European 'Blue Flag' beaches within easy reach and Waterville beach is within 1km / half mile from the house. The unspoilt rural Irish countryside is just outside the front door. The world heritage site 'The Skelligs Rock' with its ancient monastic settlement, is only a few miles off shore and is easily accessible with one of the many day trip local boat operators.

This house is immaculate! Fully equipped, spacious, excellent location, owner was extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this house to families or groups who enjoy good golf in Ireland. Walking distance to the downtown area. Thank you Mary O'Shea for an excellent vacation in Waterville!!
