11 Cara Bay is situated in the beautiful village of Culdaff on the renowned Inishowen Peninsula. The house overlooks the Culdaff River across landscaped ground. The estuary is a haven for birds especially duck and waders. There is a blue flag beach only 15 minutes away on foot which is suitable for bathing, surfing, body boarding and beach fishing. Deep sea boats can be chartered at picturesque Bunagee Harbour. The harbour is also a popular launching spot for diving parties as there is an abundance of wrecks to explore. There are four local bars which offer the best of music and dining including the acclaimed McGrory's which hosts some of the best acts to be found in Ireland. Ballyliffen and Greencastle golf courses are only 10 minutes away and the peninsula abounds with breathtaking scenery, historical monuments and golden beaches. There are also opportunities for horse riding and hill walking. You may even be lucky enough to see dolphins or hear a corncrake as you roam.

Saturday changeover preferred but may be flexible. Departure 11am, arrival 3pm.

Downstairs: wc, hand basin.
Kitchen: 4 ring gas hob / electric oven and grill / integrated fridge freezer / washing machine / dishwasher / microwave / toaster / electric kettle.
Living Rooms: Lounge with double beech doors leading into dining area, beech fireplace with hi-fi system, leather 3 seater and 2 seater, TV and DVD player.
Other: Large entrance hall with stable-type, half door (top half opens separately).
Dining area with table and six chairs.

Bed linen and hand towels supplied.

Coast/Beach
Culdaff blue flag beach 15 minutes walk. Culdaff is a beautiful beach with copper coloured sand, secret sandy coves, rocky outcrops, beautiful views of Croagh Glengad, Inishtrahull and, ocasionally, The Paps of Jura! There are many more, stunning beaches such as Kinnagoe and Five Fingers Strand within easy driving distance, all accessible along the superb Inishowen 100 scenic route.

Golf
Ballyliffen and Greencastle 18 hole courses are only 15 minutes by car.

Derry 35 minutes drive, Carndonagh 10 minutes, Dublin and Galway 4 hours, Belfast 2 hours 15 minutes.

Culdaff village centre is only a few hundred yards away and has pubs, shops and restaurants. The local supermarket will meet most shopping needs including food, off sales, hardware and toiletries.

Further details
Carndonagh the, local market town, has extensive banking and shopping facilities. Derry city is only 35 minutes by car and has the full range of major shopping outlets and leisure facilities.
