Known locally as 'Stone Cottage' this modern holiday home sits on an elevated site overlooking some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. This detached cottage is located on the 'Inishowen 100', and is approximately 1 mile from Ireland's most Northerly point 'Banba's Crown'. From there you can ramble along the cliffs to 'Hells Hole', a remarkable subterranean cavern 250 ft long and 8ft wide, into which the tide rushes in with great force. Nearby is a picturesque natural arch called the 'Devils Bridge'. Nearby local amenities such as shops, pubs and a restaurant are available. Fishing, swimming, birdwatching, hiking and golfing are just some of the local activities at hand. The unspoilt 17th century plantation town of Malin is close by. It has been awarded the 'Best Tidy Town' in Ireland twice. The original triangular village green is still intact, planted with limes, sycamore, cherries and oak trees. The hotel has a fine a la carte menu in their tasteful restaurant.

Notes on accommodation
Cot and high chair can be provided on notice. As the house is newly finished, the surrounding gardens do not suit toddlers. There is a patio area and picnic table provided. Please note that whilst children are most welcome, it is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure that they are adequately supervised to avoid harm both to themselves and damage to the property.

Outside
Patio with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Picnic table to suit six people. There are also deck chairs in the house suitable for external use if required.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is a 3 min drive to the pier. The 'Inishowen 100' is 100 miles of uninterrupted scenery. It should be noted that the Lagg road to Malin Town takes the visitor along the shores of Trawbreaga Bay. The bay is an area of regional ornithological importance and has been declared a wildlife sanctuary.
Golf
Ballyliffin Golf Club is the most northerly Golf Club in Ireland, with spectacular views of the Inishowen and the Atlantic, with two 18 hole links courses. (20 min drive). Greencastle Golf Club 18 hole course, situated on the banks of Lough Foyle (45 min drive). Buncrana Golf Club 18 hole links course, overlooking beautiful Lough Swilly with the oldest 9 hole links course in Ireland 30 min drive). North West Golf Club 18 hole course, Lisfannon (35 mins drive).
Special interest holidays
This cottage is ideally located to cater for the needs of most holidaymakers, it would suit families and those who would simply like to get away from it all and have have a quiet retreat. Special interests include horse riding school in Malin Town, Surfing lessons on Culdaff beach. Sea angling is off Malin Head Pier. Special trips can be organized for excursions to Inistrahull Island.

Further details
There are plenty of local pubs and shops in the vicinity of the cottage. There are large supermarkets, shops and banks located in Carndonagh. Derry is Northern Ireland's second largest city and provides all the amenities one would expect to find with a city of its stature. Giants causeway is accessible via the car ferry at Greencastle 40 minutes away.
Booking notes
Booking deposit 20% of rental in euros (non-refundable) with balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to letting. A refundable deposit of 150 euros is required per let. This will be returned one week after departure following inspection. A deduction will be made if additional cleaning is required. We specify that there are no pets allowed and smoking is not permitted. If these instructions are ignored then the deposit will be forfeited. The rental price includes electricity and central heating.
