Beautiful new self catering house located directly on the shore of Lough Derg, Co. Clare. Whitegate village is 2km and Mountshannon village is 8km. There is a pier at the end of the garden and lake boats and motors are available for hire. Lough Derg on the River Shannon is one of Ireland's finest lakes. With 32,000 acres of spectacular waterway it is renowned for its superb game and coarse fishing. The lake is also an ideal location for water sports and is surrounded by beautiful country side and scenery.

There is a pier at the end of the garden and lake boats and motors are available for hire. The beautiful walking route, the Lough Derg Way, An Sibin horse riding centre, Mountshannon golf course are all in the locality. Other brilliant attractions include The Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and Folkpark and The Ailwee Caves. Dublin airport is a 3 hour drive and Shannon airport is under an hour’s drive.

Half Barrel pub in Whitegate is popular with anglers. This area is renowned for pike and coarse fishing. There are several swims in this area.

Further details
Lake boats are available for hire. There are two large supermarkets in Portumna and some small shops in Whitegate for smaller requirements. Also, The Half Barrel Pub in Whitegate served food until 9pm each night and there are some other restaurants in Mountshannon.

Deposit required to secure booking and the balance can be paid on arrival. Arrival time from 14.00 onwards.

We are a small family run business in Co. Clare, Whitegate. Our houses are located directly on the lake shore and we pride our selves on offering excellent customer service. We live about 10 miles from the houses so its easy for us to call over if you need any help with anything.
