Carraig Cottage is situated on an acre site, on a hillside looking down towards Colla Quay, with panoramic views of Roaring Water Bay from Baltimore to Crookhaven. It is ten minutes drive from Schull, a thriving village with its own harbour, a range of shops, restaurants and bars sufficient to cater for every taste. West Cork is famed for its beautiful scenery and Schull is within easy driving distance of the Mizen, Sheep's Head and the Beara Peninsulas, and also Barley Cove, a beach much favoured by families and surfers. The accommodation is purpose built for holiday use, and is well appointed and easy to run.

Local activities include: Diving, surfing, sailing, tennis, fishing, horse riding, golf,and water skiing. An unexpected feature of Schull is the Planetarium which is unique to Southern Ireland.
