Owner profile

About the owner
Our names are Bob and Danusia White. Since we retired in 2003 we moved full time to Ireland from Kent in the UK. We both enjoy the quality lifestyle we have now. Bob's interests are raising chickens (he keeps the Little House supplied with complimentary eggs) sea fishing - he belongs to a fishing club. My time is taken up with golf have joined a club and also like sea fishing. We have made many friends locally and enjoy socialising. .

Year purchased: 2003

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had our bungalow built in 1996 and built the Little House in 2003. The property is tranquil overlooking the countryside and is close to the sea and the local marina in Kinsale. Everyone is very friendly in our area. There are also some great reasonably priced golf courses nearby. We wanted the location we have which is on the edge of a busy village with plenty of amenities - we are less than 10 minutes from Kinsale and 35 minutes from Cork City, Cork Airport and the Swansea Cork ferry. There is a lot of choice for eating out - although we both enjoy cooking in especially with the local fish we catch.

Unique benefits of the property
Our location is great for scenic driving and visiting well known locations such as Mizen Head, Baltimore, Killarney National Park, Cobh Heritage Centre , Kerry Glengarriff , Bantry Bay. Activities locally include golf, fishing, horse riding, walking the beach, kayaking, surfing, bird life, eating out. Although the property is quiet we are close to amenities in the village, Kinsale itself (less than 10 minutes away and Cork City. We are always on hand to help in any way we can with advice on places to visit or where to eat out.
