The cottage is set in a delightful courtyard garden shared with three other cottages, each with its own private patio area. Nearby Granary cottage has a private entrance and its own pretty garden and sleeps 5. There are hens and guinea fowl in the farmyard and cattle and sheep in the fields. Five minutes to JFK's Ancestral Home and to JFK Forest Park which has sweeping views of 5 counties and Hook Peninsula. Campile has pubs and shops. New Ross has Dunbrody Emigrant Ship tours. Lots of sandy beaches, fishing villages, castles, abbeys and gardens in the area. Towns of Wexford and Waterford and Kilkenny are each within 45 minutes. Championship Golf courses, Par 3 Golf, Pitch & Putt, and driving range available locally. Rivers, lakes and coastline offer coarse fishing, angling, wreck fishing, shark spotting and birdwatching. Good Equestrian Centre 5 minutes. Country walks, coastal walks and also hill-walking in the Blackstairs Mountains. So much to do! Or just relax and do nothing!

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Duncannon, 13km, with long stretches of white sand. There are many sandy beaches and coves on both sides of The Hook Peninsula and there are superb views from Hook Head Lighthouse, open for guided tours. Colourful fishing villages and harbours abound and the area is popular for birdwatching, whale & dolphin spotting. Boat trips are available to the Saltee Island Bird Sanctuary.
Golf
There is a huge range and choice of excellent golf courses within an hour's drive and a friendly Par 3 course just 4km away. Mount Juliet Championship, designed by Jack Nicklaus, Faithlegg Golf Course, Waterford Castle Course, New Ross 18-Hole and Rosslare Championship Golf are just a few of the dozen courses within 40km of the farm. Green fees are reasonable and all courses welcome visitors.
