This luxury cottage is located along the popular Kinnegar Road area of Rathmullan and is within easy walking distance of the beach, the village, Fort Royal and Rathmullan House hotels. The cottage features a large glazed area to the front which fills the interior with light and creates a wonderful sense of space. The interior is wonderfully spacious and bright with the accent on quality furnishings and decor. A special feature is the large enclosed rear garden with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Patio doors lead from the lounge and ground floor bedroom to this area. Pets welcome especially Cavalier King Charles.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday but this is flexible depending on availability.

Kitchen: Fully fitted kitchen with microwave, cooker, hob, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Conservatory style dining area seats 6/7 with tiled floor.
Living room, hand crafted stone solid fuel fireplace, oil fired central heating throughout. Patio leading from living room to patio area and back garden.
Other: There is a balcony on the first floor over looking the dining area with tub seat ideal for relaxing, reading or just whiling the hours away!

There is a ramp at front door. The entire ground floor is wheelchair accessible. The master bedroom which is on the ground floor has ensuite with large shower, wc and whb. The wc in the ensuite is adapted for wheelchair access.

The beautiful white sandy beach is just 2 mins walk away.

Otway Golf Club, reputedly the second oldest in Ireland, is only a 5 minute drive away.

Special interest holidays
Kathleen Loughrey cookery school is in the village of Rathmullen. Other activities in the area include boat charter for pleasure and fishing trips at Rathmullan pier, pony trekking at the nearby Golden Sands Equestrian Centre, and hillwalking on the little country roads surrounding the cottage. A new car ferry service, operating during summer months, connects the village with Buncrana on the other side of Lough Swilly. Buncrana has a leisure centre with swimming pool and a fantastic kid's outdoor play area.

City of Derry Airport - 1 hr
Car hire recommended.

Distances
Letterkenny, County Donegal’s main town, is 20 minutes by car and has a 5 screen cinema, public swimming pool, urban park, an Grianan Theatre and of course, a wide variety of shops.
Rathmullan village - 2 mins (car)
Letterkenny Town - 20 mins
Donegal Town - 1 hour
Derry City - 50 mins

The cottage is located between two hotels, Rathmullan House and Fort Royal Hotel.
Two supermarkets, four pubs, coffee and wine bar.
The ferry service runs from Rathmullan to Buncranna from May 2005 - Sept. 2005
There is a small marina attached to the pier where boats can be hired for fishing or sightseeing on Lough Swilly
Flight of the Earls Heritage Centre.
Golden sands equestrian centre for pony trekking.
Ideal for hillwalking.
1) Do the Fanad Drive leaving from Letterkenny go through Rathmelton and Rathmullen and on to Fanad. Beautiful Scenery. Stop at the cellar bar for coffee in Rathmullen House and walk the Beach. Another Beach you will see is Magherawarden you cant miss it as you drive. Good food at Rathmullen House or at Portsalon. Stop at Portsalon at Sarahs Bar for a guinness. Continue back via Mulroy Bay and back via Milford to Letterkenny - full day out. Great food at the Milford Inn.
2) Go to Glenveagh National Park, Gardens and Castle Tour - well worth a visit (via Kilmacrenan).
3) Another drive is via carrigart to Dunfanaghy, Rosapenna and Horn Head area - great scenary.
4) You can also travel to Rathmullen again and take the Ferry to the Inishowen Penninsula and drive all around Inishowen. Again a great drive and beautiful scenary. See Fort Dunree, Malin Town and lots more. You dont have to take the Ferry but its a great trip - only runs in the summer.
5) Take a day trip to Derry and see the city.
6) A Little bit futher into Northern Ireland and you can visit the Giants Causway - its a bit futher but it can be done in a day.
7) Take a trip south to Donegal Town and book in to Harveys Point famous Sunday Carvery. - all you can eat buffet but you must book - its just outside the town on the Letterkenny side of Donegal Town with beatiful walks in a great setting.
