Stonecutter’s cottage sits a top Doonagore, a spectacular high point which has views to the Atlantic Ocean, the Aran Islands, the Burren and the musical village of Doolin. It is situated on a quiet country road with nothing but gorse and grass to front and rear. No matter what direction you take when you step outside the cottage you will enjoy breathtaking ocean views stretching as far as Galway Bay and Connemara. Yet the buzz of the coastal villages of Doolin, Lahinch and Liscannor are only a few minutes away. Every day you will discover something new in the ever changing colours and hues of this most spectacular part of the world. You will truly forget what you left behind. Less than 5 min drive to Doolin village, Aran Island ferries, Lahinch and Liscannor and less than 10 min drive to Lisdoonvarna.

Changeover day
Changeover days are Saturday. We are happy to discuss other options as well as shorter stays.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom has wrought iron double bed with connected bathroom. Lounge has a futon which converts to a decent (small-double) bed. |
| Bathrooms: | Bathroom has been fully refurbished. Shower, sink, WC and airing cupboard. |
| Kitchen: | Kitchen / diner featuring a 19th century Irish antique pine dresser, table and school bench. Gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge (with small freezer compartment). Toaster and kettle plus all the expected plates, pots and pans. |
| Utility Room: | A small shed in the back of the house has a washing machine and tumble dryer. |
| Living Rooms: | Living room with original exposed stone wall and hearth and large wood burning fire stove. Settee (futon) which converts to a bed. TV and DVD player. CD player with radio. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and towels provided. Property is cleaned before arrival and optional during stay. |
Notes on accommodation
Pets may be considered - please get in touch to discuss. Completely restored in 2001 keeping its original local-stone walls and traditional fireplace. The roof of the cottage is constructed out of the stone from the local quarry.
Outside
Lovely cottage gardens to front and rear with well established plants and great views. Picnic bench in the rear garden. The cottage is surrounded by gorse land and this gives uninterrupted views, privacy and peace and quiet.
Coast/Beach
Beautiful beaches at Lahinch 10 minutes and Fanore 20 minutes. Spectacular coast walks around the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher (both international heritage sites).
Golf
There are fabulous golf courses in the area. Lahinch Golf Club (a real coastal Links course) is 10 minutes drive away.
Travel
Shannon Airport is a 60 minute drive. Dublin (ferry and airport) 4 hours. From Rosslare (Ferry from Pembroke) the drive is 4 hours.

Less than 5 min drive to Doolin village, Aran Island ferries, Lahinch and Liscannor and less than 10 min drive to Lisdoonvarna.

The area is famous for its three music pubs (in Doolin village) and also it restaurants.

Booking is via Lorraine Spencer (the owners' sister and local 'contact on the ground') for help and advice before and during your stay. We ask for a 25% deposit on booking and final payment 4 weeks before arrival. Payment is in Euros, please. Our website has a lot of additional information and a calendar for availability.
