Galewood House is a large holiday home nestled between Bantry, Ballydehob and Skibbereen. It is situated 2.5 miles from Ballydehob villageand approx 1 hour from Cork. Positioned to take in the valley ahead, it sits high on the valley against a dense forest backdrop. This house can be home for your holiday or used as a base for enjoying the sights, sounds and tastes that West Cork has to offer. The house has an extensive parking area as well as a large patio.
Galewood House is ideally suited for the outdoor enthusiast as a number of activities can be enjoyed such as cycling, hill walking, horse riding and the appetite of golf enthusiasts will be more than satisfied when they feast their eyes upon our fantastic golf courses. Other local activities like fishing, sailing, island trips, and garden walks all make up the infinite variety that West Cork has to offer.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday with departure at approx 11am. Arrival time is after 2.30pm.

There are three living areas, one containing a 32" TV with DVD/VHS player as will as seating for 5, the second living room also containins seating for 5 withan open fire. This adjoins the conservatory which contains further comfortable seating and tables. |

All necessary towels and linen will be provided for the duration of your stay. The property will be cleaned prior to your arrival with a local contact available if needed to replenish supplies. |

Accessibility
All bedrooms are on the 1st floor of the house, thus making the house unsuitable for wheelchair use.
The front living room and conservatory are accessed via a single step down into the living area.
Outside
The gardens are approx 2 acres in size split between the front and rear gardens. There is a 150ft driveway from the main road with access to park at the rear or front of the house. There is a large patio area with a bench style picnic table and parasol.

The house is located 2.5 miles from the coast.

Galewood House is located approx 1 hour from Cork Airport and approx 1 hour 15 minutes from Cork ferry port. Car hire is available at Cork airport at very competetive rates and is recommended for touring the West Cork area.

The house is 2.5 miles from Ballydehob and approx 7 miles from Bantry. It is located 50 miles from Cork City. The towns of Skibbereen and Schull are approx 12 and 7 miles away respectively.

Ballydehob contains a number of pubs and restaurents that will cater for all tastes. There are two supermarkets for essentials with larger shops located in Skibbereen and Bantry
