Accessibility
This property is on one level and has got disabled access if required. The living area is open planned with wheelchair access to all rooms.
Outside
There is a 30 sq.m. decking area across the back of the property, with a wooden table and chairs and a BBQ. There is also a large wooden table and seating area at the front of the property. All of the grounds are secluded and frequently visited by native wild deer in the early morning and late evening. There is an abundance of flora and fauna in this idyllic garden and surrounding area. There is a 200m walk along the stream to the seashore through a native oak wood on the opposite side of the raod. There are various lawned areas suitable for all sorts of sporting activities and field games.
Coast/Beach
The seafront is a short stroll from the house through an old oak wood along the 'Serpentine' path. On the approach to Kenmare town there is a pier with boating and fishing facilities available. 3km from Martello Lodge is Star Sailing Marina which caters for all water sporting activities. Scuba diving facilities are available at Killmagilogue pier along the coast road. Kerry boasts a wide selection of beaches. The nearest sandy beach is approximately 20 km from the property.
Golf
Kenmare is fortunate enough to have two superb 18 hole golf courses. The first, Kenmare golf course the elder of the two was founded in 1903, it is situated a 2 min stroll from the town. The earlier holes stretch along the picturesque Roughty river estuary, while the remainder of the holes on this course provide panoramic views of Kenmare Bay and the Roughty Valley. The Ring of Kerry golf and country club voted 2nd in ‘ten of the best views in British Isles golf’ is a short drive from the town. This championship course has breath taking views across the Kenmare Bay and the Kerry mountains.

The Lake House Hotel at Cloonee specialises in fly fishing on the Cloonee Lakes, boats and rods are available for hire. Kenmare walking club have regular organised mountain walks throughout the year. Bicycles are available for hire in Krnmare.

These include golf, angling, walking, gaelic football, soccer and water sports. As well as live musical entertainment. Kenmare is home to some of Europe's most pristine restaurants and is a gourmet delight. The location of this residence is on the southern shore of Kenmare Bay which stretches for 36km. It forms part of the Beara Peninsula down the centre of which runs a backbone of mountains, the Caha and Sleibh Miskish ranges. In this area, you will find some of the loveliest and unspoilt scenery. Since the warm waters of the Gulf Stream wash the Kerry shores, the climate is exceptionally mild, permitting a sub- tropical flora to flourish in the region. Local amenities include golf, fishing, water sports, a selection of walks both on the roads and over the mountains, sailing, pony trekking, trips down along the Kenmare bay on the Seafari to spot seals and other local wildlife along with the breath taking scenery. An ideal spot to tour the Ring of Kerry, the Ring of Beara and Killarney National Park. The town of Kenmare is renown for being the jewel on the ring.
