The beach is situated a short distance from the village. It is a 5 minute walk fron "Kate and Peggy's". There is plenty of sand, rock pools to explore and good grassy areas for picnics.
Fishing is available off the rocks north and south of the beach while you can enjoy the stunning views of the Sea of Moyle to the Mull of Kintyre on the Scottish coast, which is just over 20 miles away.

Golf
Cushendall Golf Club nestles at the foot of the beautiful Glenballyeamon in the celebrated Glens of Antrim. This small, picturesque 9-hole course is bounded by the quaint village of Cushendall landward side, while the waves of Red Bay pound its northern shores. The River Dall meanders through the course to the sea and it is due to it's presence that the course owes it's "tricky” reputation. It's murmuring waters create out of bounds at the first five holes and reappear with a vengeance at the last two, making any wayward shot almost sure to find a watery grave. The recently renovated Clubhouse stands right on Cushendall beach and enjoys spectacular views across the Sea of Moyle to the Mull of Kintyre on the Scottish coast, which is just over 20 miles away.

Special interest holidays
Cushendall boat club provides a service to people boating, with changing and toilet facilities, a secure boat storage park, social areas and a bar, also by organising events based in the club and on the water. The club organises races for both cruising yachts and sailing dinghies, adults and juniors, assists in the organisation of cruises in company, holds events with other sailing clubs and plays host to class provincial and national championships. The club's own sailing school provides a wide and extensive range of training for young and old, beginner and expert, with courses running from Easter to Halloween. Emphasis is with junior and youth sailors from the introduction of the sport to young people, to the preparation of sailors for provincial, national and international competition.
