Trivandrum International Airport is a 25 minute taxi ride.

| Other: | The veranda/sit out, overlooks the front of the house and garden and has a ceiling fan. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Welcome pack. Towels and linen changed twice weekly. Housekeeping provided three times a week. Personal laundry can be accepted by the housekeeper. An English manager nearby. |
Notes on accommodation
The hot water to the house is constant and is heated by solar panels on the roof. The water to the house is provided by its own private well in the garden. The house has ceramic tiled flooring throughout including the veranda area. The house is surrounded by a high wall and gates thus ensuring privacy.

Accessibility
The house is suitable for people with mobility problems as there is only one step to be negotiated and the doors are wide enough to allow good access for people in wheelchairs.
Outside
There is a newly planted garden to the front of the house and is overlooked by the veranda which is lit at night and has a ceiling fan. Stairs lead up to the roof which is surrounded by coconut, banana and papaya trees.
Coast/Beach
Kovalam has several beaches all within a 15 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk ride. These sandy beaches are beautiful and there are numerous restaurants, shops, internet cafes, tailors. It is easy to discover the tranquil waterways of the Backwaters for a day trip or an overnight stay on a converted rice boat. The multi cultural city of Cochin is worth a visit as are the highlands and spice plantations of the Western Gnats. Tennis and golf are available in Trivandrum.

The nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport 14kms and is a 20-30 minute taxi ride. Inexpensive airport collection can be arranged and is paid locally.

Trivandrum City 16 kms. Allepey for overnight riceboat trips on the Backwaters is a 4hr car journey or a 2 hour train journey. Cochin a three hour train journe.y
Further details
Ayurvedic treatments, massage and yoga are available in many centres in Kovalam by highly trained and experienced practitioners. ATMs, pharmacies, supermarket, post office and other local shops are situated nearby. Taxis and autorickshaws (tuk tuks) are available everywhere.
