Each of the self-contained apartments include a comfortably furnished lounge, a very large modern kitchen/dining room and 3 spacious bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms/toilets. There is a large furnished terrace area to the front of the properties and separate private balcony to one of the first floor bedrooms. The newly built studio has large double room with attached bathroom and private terrace area. The properties are in a village location amongst friendly local people with easy access to beaches, restaurants and all local amenities.

There is a gas hob, large fridge/freezer and microwave oven/grill plus all necessary crockery, pans and utensils. Living Rooms: The lounge is comfortably furnished with upholstered settee and 2 chairs, coffee tables, bookshelves and cable television. Notes on accommodation
All of the self contained properties have efficient modern ceiling fans in all rooms including ground floor terrace, further pedestal fans available on request. Access to roof for sunbathing, clothes drying. Access to internet can also be arranged for a modest charge.
All of the apartments are light, airy and equipped to high, modern standards, with cool marble/tiled floors throughout.
They are suitable for couples, groups and families with the groundfloor apartment being particularly safe for small children. Folding beds are available for extra occupancy.
Accessibility
The ground floor apartment is easily accessible for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.
Whereas the first floor would not be recommended for very small children, the ground floor offers a safe and secure environment for children of all ages.
Outside
All of the units have private terraces and/or balconies furnished with chairs, tables and umberellas, Ideal for alfresco dining or watching the wide variety of birds and butterflies that frequent the local area. The first floor terraces/balconies offer wonderful views across the surrounding tropical countryside.
Coast/Beach
10 mins walk to Lighthouse Beach with its many restaurants and shops either by roadway or by pathway through tropical countryside. 15 mins walk to the more secluded Samudra/Golden Beach through tropical countryside. Further beaches are easily accessible by bus, taxi or auto rickshaw.

Travel
Trivandrum International Airport 14km. (please note flights to Trivandrum now available from some regional UK airports such as Newcastle, Birmingham & Glasgow, also from an increasing number of European and worldwide airports). Trivandrum Railway Station 16km. Long distance buses available from Trivandrum. Local bus stop less than 5 mins walk away. Taxis, Auto rickshaws and people carriers can be arranged locally as can airport transfers.

Local Backwater cruises 5kms.
Numerous beaches south of Kovalam all within easy reach by taxi or rickshaw.
Kovalam is also ideally situated for those wanting to access medical facilities in Trivandrum such as Dentistry, Laser Eye Treatment and various surgical proceedures available at a number of centres in the city.

There is a wide selection of restaurants providing very good value fresh fish and seafood dishes. European, North Indian and Chinese food is also available.
A supermarket selling a range of international goods is located at Kovalam Junction about 10 to 15 min walk away. ATMs banks and various other shops can also be found at Kovalam Junction.
There are numerous tailors who will make clothes to your own patterns for very modest prices
Yoga and ayurvedic centres within easy walking distance, private tuition can be arranged.
Learn how to cook your own South Indian banquet, authentic Keralan cookery lessons & demonstrations can be arranged either at property or close by.
Although the season in Kerala tends to be from November to March it is a wonderful place to visit all year round. The monsoons June/July & Sept/Oct offer a different experience with heavy showers followed by sunny spells & cooler temperatures. The rains generally ease during late July & August offerring an ideal opportunity for either a relaxing break or for sightseeing trips to the mountains & backwaters.
The English owners are usually available to give first hand advice and assistance if required or in their absence their property manager will be happy to help.
