Trivandrum 14km. Alleppey (5 hour drive) for houseboat trips on the backwaters. Cochin (5 hour drive) with Chinese fishing nets and Jewtown.The Western Ghats (which can be incorporated with a trip to Alleppey/Cochin) is famous for its highest tea plantations in the world (Munnar) and cardamon/teak/rubber plantations.
