One bedroom first floor apartment with private balcony. Shared pool with landscaped gardens. Fully air-conditioned. With bars and restaurants close by, the tempting aroma makes you feel hungry and there is plenty to indulge in. Over the weekends each restaurant has a little carnival of its own with barbecue, bonfire, fireworks and lots of sea food and fun besides the Goan dishes and sweets. Goan vindaloo is a must try, unless spices are not for you! Besides its sprawling beaches there is much more to see in Goa, such as the spice plantations, and the nature walks, camps in the jungles, treks and rafting. The apartment is perfectly situated for experiencing a relaxing holiday whilst offering the opportunity of a lively and vibrant nightlife, such as night markets, clubs and open air bars/restaurants.

Accessibility
The grounds within the resort are suitable for the use of wheelchairs, however the apartment is first floor level with stairs to access.
Outside
All gardens have been landscaped with palm trees offering shade when the midday sun is at its hottest. Barbecue areas surrounding the pool are provided. The large pool has shallow areas suitable for children. Shared sunbeds are provided surrounding the pool.
Coast/Beach
Goa's beaches are speckled with quaint little beach shacks that serve ice cold beer and spicy Goan cuisine. Baga beach is approx 15 minutes walk or would cost aprox £2 in a taxi. A favourite beach shack of ours is "Anthonios" which is well known and used by families, travellers who return every year.
The menu in the shack offers a wide range of Asian and European cuisine. Prices are very cheap and the service is very friendly. Tables can be reserved should you wish to dine on the beach.
Golf
A manicured 18 hole golf course is approximately 30 kilometers from the resort (1hr either by taxi or hire car). The golf course is part of Goa's only 7* hotel.
Special interest holidays
Goa offers hospitality and lifestyle, its churches, temples, forts and monuments, its unique mouthwatering food, its art, culture, festivals, and music all resonate its invitation to a traveller.
As such the temperature in Goa hovers between 20-30 degrees day in and day out throughout the year. It is connected to the other states and to the rest of the world by frequent domestic and international flights, including cheap charter flights during the season. There is a high flow of foreign tourists into Goa starting from October and ending in May.
Travel
The nearest airport is Dabolim which is 45 mins away. Taxis are readily available from the exit of the aiport and will cost you approx 700 rupees (£10). Jeep hire or bike hire is widely available and very cheap. Make sure that you apply for your international licence through the RAC prior to your holiday(or you can now get this through the post office for £5). Hire services and rates are detailed within our welcome pack in the apartment.
Distances
Riviera Palms is situated in Arpora. The next town is Calangute (5 mins) which offers a selection of shops, market stalls, bars and restaurants. Banks/ATM machines are readily available. The main cities of Mapusa and Panaji are approx 20 mins journey by taxi.
Further details
There are 2 large night markets close by where you can barter for goods and enjoy live entertainment and choose from many food stalls. Anjuna flea market is a popular choice by many and is accessible by boat or taxi on Wednesdays. Wednesday nights are lively with Club Cabana holding "Ladies night" offering all night entertainment.
Booking notes
£100 non returnable deposit is required which will secure your booking, the balance has to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. Also a £50 breakages deposit is required and returned to you following inspection of the apartment on your departure (please provide a separate cheque for the breakages fee).
