A 10% discount applies for lets lasting longer than 3 weeks. A £100 refundable damage deposit is also required.

Two spacious bedrooms one double and one twin. Both have custom made furniture, air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Both bedrooms have fully tiled en-suite bathrooms with shower, basin and European toilet. |
| Kitchen: |
The well equipped kitchen has granite work surfaces, a gas hob, a large fridge freezer and washing machine. Also a kettle, toaster, utensils and crockery. |
| Living Rooms: |
The spacious living area has a dining table and four chairs a cane sofa and armchairs. There is also cable TV, a DVD/CD player and a bookcase. Ceiling fans throughout. |
Cleaning/towels/

A few basics are provided on arrival: Milk, water, bread, butter.
Towels & linen included, changed twice weekly.
Housekeeping provided every other day. |
Notes on accommodation
There is plenty of hot water to the house pumped from a well in the garden which is heated by a solar panel on the roof.

Accessibility
The house is all on one level but is accessed via half a dozen steps and there is no ramp. Whilst we have had one guest in a wheelchair this house does not have disabled access.
Outside
There is a newly planted garden to enjoy from the comfort of the sit out which has a table and four cane armchairs. It is lit at night and also has a ceiling fan. Stairs lead up the the roof which is surrounded on all sides by coconut trees.
Coast/Beach
Lighthouse Beach, Kovalam is the main tourist area with its beautiful sandy beach and numerous opportunities for eating out, shops, internet cafes, etc. All the popular Kovalam beaches are within walking distance.
Travel
The nearest Airport is Trivandrum International 14kms and 20-30 minutes drive away. Airport transfers can be arranged - payment locally.
Distances
Trivandrum City 16 kms.
Alleppey for overnight houseboat trips on the backwaters 4 hours by car.
Cochin for historical Kerala including Chinese fishing nets, Jewtown, St Francis Church 5 hours by car.
The Western Ghats (which can be incorporated with a trip to Alleppey/Cochin) is famous for its highest tea plantations in the world (Munnar) and cardamon/teak/rubber plantations.
Short trips to the Maldives can be arranged locally.
Further details
The well-known practice of Ayurvedic treatments/massage is available at the nearby Prakriti Centre (Govt registered). ATMs, pharmacies, supermarket, post office and other local shops are situated at Kovalam Junction within 10 minutes walking distance. Taxis and autorickshaws are readily available everywhere.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required with booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before the rental commences. A £100 refundable damage deposit is payable with the 75% outstanding balance 8 weeks before rental commences. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after the booking period ends. A long term let would be considered, terms to be agreed.
Guest comments
The villa is beautiful, and immaculately maintained. There was adequate linen, towels, utensils etc. We had a very comfortable stay. The neighbours were extremely friendly and helpful. Although the shops and beach are walking distance, we preferred to take a rickshaw, which was easily arranged. Kovalam beach it self is stunning. My younger brother is on a wheelchair, so naturally we were a bit aprehensive of how our experience would be, however, he had a fab time, the house accommodated his wheelchair very well (although there are a few initial steps, once inside, it was very comfortable for him). All in all we all enjoyed our stay in Kerala.
My Husband & I had a lovely time there in feb 08. The house is in a great position surrounded by coconut palms & mango trees. It is clean airy & nicely decorated. We love cooking & were able to make some great meals with produce from the local shops.
Samudra beach has some nice places to eat. The neighbours were friendly & it was restful.
