Albuquerque Holiday Villas is located in the quiet coastal beach village of Candolim North Goa in a tranquil coconut grove and offers excellent standards, homely ambiance and is ideal for those seeking to be away from the busy and sometimes noisy hotel environment. Being away from home is never easy and its hard not to feel a little out of place which is why at our serviced apartments, we are always there to help you feel right at home with our unmatched personal service. Comprising of studio and interconnecting self catering apartments, our low rise, Portuguese Villa style accommodation have a high repeat clientele. The apartments are modern, clean, well maintained with high ceilings, light, airy and comfortably furnished. Special care has been taken to provide soft pillows, comfy mattresses with good white linen, mosquito repellant etc for a comfortable stay. As we are relatively small and constantly in demand with the UK and other European holiday visitors.

Changeover day
We are flexible on the change over day. The earliest check in time is 12.00 hrs (noon). We try to accommodate earlier arrival times but this is subject to availability. The check out time is 11.00 hrs to enable us to prepare the Unit for new arrival.

Accommodation

 

Notes on accommodation
Serviced daily with bedlinen and towels changed every alternate day. Laundry facility is provided on request. It is fan assisted but an air conditioner is available at an extra cost.

Money changing facilities, internet, safe deposit lockers are available in the reception. Breakfast is served in the Cafe at extra cost. Inverter backup is provided for select light points in case of a power failure.

Accessibility
The ground floor units are suitable for physically challenged guest but are not wheelchair user friendly. All balconies overlook the garden and some open into the garden.

Outside
The villa is situated in a large private property which is fully walled. Being set in from the main road and located in a coconut grove it offers tranquil and refreshing ambiance to unwind from "hustle and bustle" as you find yourself in a lush green paradise. Secure parking for motorbikes and cars is also available.

Coast/Beach
The sun-drenched beaches which stretch along the Arabian Sea with bright blue skies, spectacular sunsets, green rice fields, lush coconut groves and the sweet fragrance of the cashew and mango blossoms beckons tourists each year. Besides the natural beauty, Goa has many historical sites like Forts, churches, temples etc. With water sports such as wind surfing, jet skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing trips, dolphin watching, waterfalls, and live music entertainment, Goa is the place to be!.

Special interest holidays
We have a library offering free use of books both fiction as well as life transforming ones at our reception. Our loyal staff, some who are with us since inception (unusual for Goa) are very popular and offer helpful insights to make your holiday memorable. We have Sunday service for Spirit filled Christians.

Travel
Please note, transfer time by car from Dabolim - Goa airport to Albuquerque Holiday Villas in Candolim Goa is 45 minutes. Prepaid charges for a taxi from the airport taxi counter outside the arrival lounge (Govt of Goa operated) is approximately Stg 10/-. Also we are just half an hour drive from the Tivim railway station. Taxis are available everywhere and they are quiet cheap.

Distances
Candolim is centrally located offering within a radius of 12 to 15 kms other beaches like Coco, Kegdovelim, Dona Paula, Calangute, Baga, Morjim, Arambol (hippie hideout), Anjuna wednesday flea market, Mapusa Friday market, Arpora saturday nite market, Fort Aguada (Portuguese fort), Old Goa portuguese Churches (World heritage site), spice plantation and also the city of Panjim (capital of Goa) which is a venue for International Film Festival every November.

Further details
Candolim is an exclusive beach village in North Goa, less frequented by Indian tourist but popular with foreign tourist. It is famous for the entertainment spots like Vanilla/Butter Lounge, Green Chillee etc., and also for restaurants offering Goan, Indian & international cuisine, shops offering Kashmiri carpets, handcrafted furniture, artifacts etc, world class spectacles & dental treatment at 1/4 international prices. Also Calizz in Candolim a living museum of Goan life through the ages helps to understand Goan culture which is very much different from the rest of India. Houses of Goa museum in Torda, Porvorim is also very fascinating.

Booking notes
Please check the calendar or check availability with the owners preferably by e mail. For quick response you may call our mobile no. A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking which can be made either by direct bank transfer or your personal bank cheque. The balance is payable on arrival and need not be paid earlier. In case of cancellation, part or full refund may be adjusted to a new booking at owners discretion based on the circumstance of the cancellation and the booking position.

1) I have stayed in Candolim for the last 5 years & have tried a few hotels & apts. The best accommodation, I believe is Albuquerque Holiday Villas. They have very clean & spacious apts with or without A/C. We stayed in the deluxe suite but the studio is also nice but without a separate living room. It just depends what you want, all suites have a kitchen area with sink and gas ring. Hapkin, UK.

2) We have stayed 4 times at Albuquerque Holiday Villas, Goa which are very clean & start with room (studio) & than on suites (self catering apts). Most people book in for next year when they come. Ideal spot for the beach, the buses & although self catering, they have a cafe for breakfast as well as money changing & safe deposit. Lynda99, UK.
