Fantastic property overlooking the beach. Each apartment has 2 double bedrooms; 3 bathrooms; huge living area and separate kitchen. All bedrooms and living areas have balconies amongst coconut palms with direct sea views and benefit from the cooling sea breeze. Each bedroom has en-suite facilities. Can also be rented as two separate apartments or together as one villa (sleeping between 8 to 12 people).
Friendly staff with local knowledge are able to offer a wealth of advice on sightseeing and are able to arrange trips. Pick up from Trivandrum airport / train station is included in our price (for stays over 7 days -and can be arranged for shorter stays). Drop off can be arranged through our manager.
The property is cleaned regularly and linen changed. Personal laundry and ironing is available by arrangement with our housekeeper at local rates. Unfortunately this property is not at present suitable for wheelchair access.

En-suite bathrooms to bedrooms with granite tiles; wc; solar heated shower; wash basin, shaver point. Kitchen with granite work tops, fridge/freezer; gas burner, kettle and water filter. Keralan meals available on request enquiries via managers/housekeeper. Huge living/dining room with marble table, dining chairs, lounger and easy chairs. Balconies to all rooms overlooking the beach. Hanging basket chair on balcony as well as other traditional cane furniture. Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service. Week. Personal laundry and ironing by housekeeper at local rates. Notes on accommodation
Beautiful scenery and the friendly easy going people make Kovalam a relaxed and popular holiday resort. A beach town on the Arabian Sea in southern India, Kovalam features three spectacular crescent beaches. The most popular and largest beach is Lighthouse Beach, aptly named for its 30 meter lighthouse, which features a stunning site - the Vizhinjam mosque. Pavilion Apartments is located a short distance away on the less crowded, and dare we say far more picturesque, Samudra beach, with coconut trees and great views of the local fishermen at work.

Trivandrum city for shopping and seeing traditional markets; temples and museums is half an hour away.
Cape Cormorin - the tip of India with views over three oceans - one hour away.
Backwaters - beautiful inland waterways to relax and journey down stream for longer or shorter trips.

Accessibility
Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. Access via a short walk up through coconut grove - bags carried and for any assistance with other mobility issues please ask.
Outside
Traditional furniture is versatile for indoor/outdoor use on balconies. Roof terrace with amazing views and sunbathing privacy. Sun loungers available. All areas in and around the property are private. Staff will be available and accessible on request.
Coast/Beach
Pavilion Apartments overlooks the beach (see above). Kovalam has one of the largest beaches and this beach is further divided into three distinct sections according to the part it lies in. Close by and to the south is Light House beach and to the north lies the more sedate Samudra beach.
Golf
Trivandrum Golf Course is the second oldest golf course in India established by the Maharaja of Travancore and now managed by the Trivandrum Golf Club with a membership of over 400 members. Course is open to domestic and international tourists. The course is situated in the City adjacent to the Maharaja's Palace.
Special interest holidays
Monsoon season June - October. Most tourists come to Kerala during the dry season and might feel uncertain about travel to the area during the monsoon - however, we would like to draw your attention to what you might miss out on by not experiencing this period! Firstly, most accommodation at this time is less expensive, it is less touristy and trips such as the backwaters trips will be less busy. Ayurevedic treatments and medicines work best during this period, when the air is free of dust and the humidity promotes detoxifying purification. Two of Kerala’s most spectacular and important festivals fall during this period. The famous Snake boat race (second Saturday in August) which is the most spectacular of all of Kerala’s boat races.
Onam, Kerala’s 10 day Harvest festival is the most important religious and social event in the Hindu calendar (September)
Travel
Trivandrum International Airport. Car hire can be arranged via our staff. On arrival guests will be met at the airport by car and conveyed to Pavilion Apartments unless otherwise requested. This service is free for guests staying 7 days or more - we will levy the cost charge of this for shorter stays. Return transfer can be arranged locally - just ask our manager.

Trivandrum City 25 minutes drive for serious shopping.
Kovalam junction 10 minutes walk for ATMs, pharmacies, supermarket etc. ISD and internet services dotted all around. Dental and medical facilities walking distance.

Famous backwaters of Kerala where houseboat rental is possible is approximately two hours by car. Local backwater trips are also available and close by.
Varkala beach and cliffs, 1 hour by train.
Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - dawn trips by boat to see wild elephants and guided tours of spice plantations.
Nature reserves with tropical birds, tea plantations, and large game parks in the Western Ghats.
Ayurvedic massage and treatments for ailments, for which Kerala is famous, are widely available. Yoga also available at many locations.
Ponmudi: a beautiful hill station which is around 61 km away from Trivandrum. It is a centre of natural scenery, salubrious climate and the scope of hiking in high trails which makes the visit an exhilarating experience.
Cape Cormori the tip of India with views over three oceans is two hours away.The 'backwaters' for drifting in a houseboat along the inland lakes.
The nature reserves with their tropical birds, tea plantations, and large game parks in the Western Ghats.
Dental and medical tourism is world class.
Try Kerala Institute of Medical Science (KIMS) in Trivandrum for executive check ups and medical work.

Please note our daily charge applies from 10am (so if your flight arrives before this time you will be charged for the night before).
