Accessibility
Most of the house is on one level but there are two steps up to the kitchen and a small step to each en-suite. The house has steps and ramps to the outside.
Outside
There is a fully enclosed garden with coconut and banana trees and a lawn. Patio area with table and chairs and outside lighting for relaxing in the evening. Stairs lead up to the roof which is surrounded with coconut trees and can be used as a sun deck.
Coast/Beach
Hawa and Lighthouse Beaches, Kovalam, are the main tourist areas with their beautiful sandy beaches and numerous opportunities for eating out. There are shops, internet cafes, and shopping etc. The other popular Kovalam beaches are within walking distance.
Golf
Golf is available in Trivandrum approximately 16kms from the villa.
Special interest holidays
Earth therapeutic Ayurvedic treatment, including massages are available. Backwater trips to the world renowned Kerala backwaters are a speciality which can be arranged. Also, trips to Elephant Sanctuary, Wooden Palace, Water falls, Lands End (Cape Comorien), Varaka, Thekkady, Ponmudi, all arranged and payable locally.
Travel
The nearest Airport is Trivandrum International 16kms and 20-30 minutes drive away. Airport transfers can be arranged and are payable locally. Trivandrum Railway station 16kms. Local bus stop less than 5 minutes walk away. Rickshaws and Taxis are readily available.
Distances
Trivandrum city 16kms. Alleppey for overnight or longer houseboat trips on the backwaters is 4 hours by car. Coaching for historical Kerala including Chinese fishing nets, Jewtown, St Francis Church-5 hours by car.
The Western Ghats (which can be incorporated with a trip to Alleppey or Cochin) are famous for dramatic scenery and the highest tea plantations in the world at Munnar with cardamom, teak and rubber plantations.

ATMs, banks, supermarkets selling many international products, post office, pharmacies and other local shops are located at Kovalam Junction approx 20 minutes walk away (1km). Rickshaws and Taxis are readily available.
