Haven for birds eg kingfishers, woodpeckers, mynahs etc. Hammocks for relaxing in the garden. Driveway and access paths with lighting for night time.
Coast/Beach
Lighthouse Beach, Kovalam is the main tourist area with its beautiful sandy beach, sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, numerous opportunities for eating out at the beachfront cafes and hotel restaurants, shops, internet cafes, etc. All the popular Kovalam beaches are within walking distance. Samudra Beach is nearest (approximately 8 minutes walk by road and pathway) with a variety of cafes, hotels and beachside amenities including internet/telephones, money changers, travel/tour agents.

Nearest Airport 14 kms Trivandrum International, 20-30 minutes drive away.
Airport transfers can be arranged - payment locally.

Trivandrum City 16 kms.
Alleppey for overnight houseboat trips on the backwaters 4 hrs car journey.
Cochin for historical Kerala including Chinese fishing nets, Jewtown, St Francis Church 5 hours car journey.
The Western Ghats (which can be incorporated with a trip to Alleppey/Cochin)is famous for its highest tea plantations in the world (Munnar) and cardamon/teak/rubber plantations.
Further details
The well-known practice of Ayurvedic treatments/massage is available at Prakriti Ayurvedic and Massage Centre. This is situated a short walk away. Alternatively, treatments can be taken in the purpose built rooftop room at Davanna House. The Kerala Tourist Board has credited Prakriti with its coveted Green Leaf Award, its highest award for ayurvedic centres and one of only a few such centres in the whole of Kerala.
This is a unique opportunity to use these services whilst enjoying a Kovalam holiday. Short-term programmes for rejuvenation, slimming, relaxation, de-stressing, spine and neck care, anti-arthritic and much more can be arranged on request - further details available, including duration and fees.
It has been proven that the monsoon period June to October is the ideal time of year to undergo such treatments. During the monsoon it rarely rains all day as the rains tend to be short and dramatic but has the advantage of freshening the air, making it an ideal time for a vacation even if it is low season.
ATMs, pharmacies, supermarket, post office and other local shops are situated at Kovalam Junction within 10 minutes walking distance. Taxis and autorickshaws readily available everywhere.
Our House Manager can advise guests on all of the above and lots more. He can also make arrangements on request for taxi and autorickshaw hiring, day trips, overnight trips and a variety of other requirements.
