This light and airy studio apartment has scenic views of the swimming pool, lake and surrounding paddy fields. Situated in the peaceful North Goan village of Arpora only about 5 mins drive from Baga and Calangute beaches with their wide range of restaurants and bars, shops, internet cafes and ATMs, as well as having grocery stores and a choice of alfresco restaurants in Arpora village itself. The apartment is also situated close to the famous Ingo's Saturday night market (10-15 mins walk), as well as the popular Wednesday Anjuna Flea market only a few kms away. A vibrant nightlife can also be found locally as well as a wide choice of excursions which can easily be arranged at local travel agents to Goa's spice plantations,its famous temples, churches and historical sites, waterfalls and trips to the Elephant Conservation Centre.

Notes on prices
Prices quoted are per week in UK Pounds and payable into a UK bank account (account details will be emailed to you on confirmation of acceptance of your booking request). Price is negotiable for longer rentals (except during the peak season of 7 Dec to 7 Jan). 10% discount for stays of 4 weeks or more (outside of peak season).
Changeover day
Changeover days flexible (please refer to calendar for availability). Arrival after 3pm and check-out by 12 noon please (to allow time for cleaning between rentals). However, if prior notice given & where possible the arrival/departure times are flexible.

| Other: | The top (2nd floor) apartment also has a spacious private balcony which has table and chairs and a fold-away clothes dryer and sliding mosquito screens and a wall light for evening use. |

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has a multi-speed ceiling fan and is well ventilated by large sliding mosquito screens across the balcony which can be opened during the day and closed in the evening, providing the option to sleep with the balcony doors left open (and screens closed) at night if required (so no need to bring mosquito nets). As it is a non-smoking apartment guests are respectfully requested to please restrict smoking to balconies only.
Accessibility
The apartment is on the top (second floor) accessible only by stairs so unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
The apartment is situated in a walled private residential complex with 24/7 security and well maintained landscaped gardens/communal areas with shared swimming pool and reclining sun loungers. There is also a friendly site manager who can offer advice/suggestions if required.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is about 3kms (aprox 5 minutes by car/10 minutes by bike to Calangute and Baga beaches) where all amenities such as restaurants, ATMs and shops, phone booths, internet facilities and market etc can be found. Vagator and Anjuna beaches are about 10 minutes drive away and Goa's more quiet Northern beaches such as Arambol and Ashwem are about half an hours drive away.
Golf
There is a manicured golf course which is part of Goa's only 7 star hotel, about 30kms away (about 1 hour's drive).
Special interest holidays
Goa offers something for everyone, from lounging in the sun by the pool and on its many beaches, sampling the mouth watering local Goan/Indian and varied international cuisine at the plentiful alfresco restaurants, cafes and quaint beach shacks and bars. Goa's warm hospitality also includes many cultural places of interest such as temples, churches and monuments, as well as many excursions for the adventurous such as visits to spice plantations, waterfalls, colourful markets, an elephant conservation centre, dolphin spotting boat trips and water sports etc.
The main tourist season for visiting Goa is from around October to April, peaking around Christmas and New Year, and during the season cheap charter flights are widely available, in addition to being connected to the rest of India's major cities by domestic flights and rail services.
Travel
Bikes/scooters/motorbikes/jeeps are readily available for local rental). An international drivers permit is required for driving any motorised vehicle in India so please ensure you apply in plenty of time for your IDP (application details are on the RAC/AA websites, or you can apply in person at selected UK P.O.s). Goa's Dabolim Airport is about 45 minutes drive away and pre-paid taxis can be booked from the booth at the airport concourse.
There are also many taxis and buses in Arpora vilage.

Panjim - approx 25 minutes drive.
Mapsa - approx 15 minutes drive.
Calangute/Baga - approx 3kms (5 minutes drive).
Candolim/Anjuna/Vagator - approx 10 minutes drive.
Dabolim Airport - approx 45 minutes to apartment in Arpora.
Arambol/Ashwem/Mandrem (quieter northern beaches) - approx half an hours drive away.
Further details
Arpora village (where the apartment is located) has several grocery stores, internet facilities, a church and temple and a good choice of restaurants. There is also a local bus stop a few minutes walk away with regular buses to Mapsa and Calangute and Candolim etc. There are also many taxis available locally.

Booking notes
A £100 non-returnable deposit is required to secure your booking, and the balance needs to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. Also a £50 breakages deposit is payable at time of booking in addition to the tariff, and is returned to you by bank transfer within one week after you vacate the appartment following inspection on your departure. Late bookings (less than 8 weeks prior to departure) are required to be paid in full into a UK bank account at time of booking to secure your reservation.
