Idukki self-catering holiday apartments are located in the high ranges and wooded valleys of the Western Ghats; an area famous for it water and spice cultivation. First on your list of things to see while staying in a rental villa in Idukki, has to be the Idukki Dam which is Asia’s first arch dam which soars 550 feet high and 650 feet wide across the Kuravan and Kuruthi hills. Idukki Wildlife sanctuary is close by as is Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see, amongst other fauna, wild elephants, boar, bison and deer.
