Ialysos self-catering holiday villas are found in and around the second largest town on Rhodes in the Dodecanese on the island’s northwestern coast. One of the charms of a holiday rental in Ialysos is the crystal clear waters of the Aegean sea with its glorious stretches of beach and the opportunities for windsurfing, the 900 foot mountain which as well as trekking and climbing offers the Filerimos Monastry and the Acropolis of Ialysos, surrounded by Pine and Cypress trees and covered with herbs and wild flowers.
Just a few kilometres from Ialysos self-catering accommodationis the island’s main city, Rhodes; here as well as useful things like a hypermarket, banks and other shops you will find several sights that are well worth exploring, like the Old Town, still enclosed by its medieval wall and the Acropolis of Rhodes. There are also several museums and galleries worth seeing as well as numerous restaurants and tavernas. If you fancy a round or two of golf while staying in a holiday apartment in Ialysos then there is an excellent golf course very close by; for surfing it is best to head for the west coast. If you want to get away from it all and enjoy sea and sand as it always was then head for Prasonisi, the sandy shore between Gennadi and Prasonisi is still unspoiled.
