The location couldn't be more convenient or spectacular. Budapest's main attractions including the Chain Bridge, Danube and Parliament are within a 10min walk. It is a 5min walk from Deak Ter, Budapest's main transport hub making the whole city easily accessible. Budapest's best restaurants, cafe's and shopping are nearby on Andrassy Ave and Liszt Ferenc Sq. The apartment is grand and spacious, with a hallway, open plan kitchen and breakfast area, dining area, grand living room, impressive master bedroom with super-king sized bed, second double bedroom. The family bathroom has designer taps and fittings. There is a separate laundry. The kitchen is fully equipped with the usual appliances, as well as a Nespresso coffee machine for an excellent espresso or cappucino, cutlery and crockery, including wine and cocktail glasses making it the perfect getaway. Among the apartment's impressive features is its incredible views from living room and master bedroom of St Stephen's Basilica.

Prices per night in euros for weeknights. Fri/Sat nights in high season are EUR110 per night. Fri/Sat nights in low season are EUR90 per night.

Minimum stay is for 2 nights (20% surcharge). For bookings of 3 nights or more there is no surcharge.

Kitchen: Beautiful new designer kitchen with new Bosch appliances including hob, oven, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and all cutlery, crockery and utensils, 2 breakfast stools. Nespresso coffee machine for espressos and cappuccinos.
Utility Room: Washing machine/dryer, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: The living room furnished in a minimalist style - with a corner sofa and 32' LCD TV (cable), DVD, iPod connector and wifi internet, and a dining table to seat 6. French doors, herringbone parquetry and shutter windows to frame the Basilica lit at dusk.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment is fully equipped for short or long stays, and we include cable TV and wifi internet in the cost of your booking. Heating is controlled centrally and can be set to any desired temperature.

The property is accessable by a lift to the second floor.

Outside
The apartment is set in a newly renovated Classical building dating back to the 1860's built contemporaneously with the Basilica. You enter into a grand foyer and marble stairs or an elevator take you to the second floor.

Booking notes
We require a 50% deposit on booking, and the remainder by the commencement of your stay. The apartment is fully managed locally by English speakers and you will be met at the premises with the keys and provided with all the information you need. We use professional cleaners who ensure the flat is presented in excellent condition and the cost of this is naturally included in your booking. You can contact our local agent during your stay for any assistance you require.

About the owner
I am Australian but my background is Hungarian. I have always felt a strong affinity for this beautiful and intriguing city and a year ago I bought a classical apartment in the most central location I could find. It overlooks one of Budapest's great monuments - its Basilica. The apartment was a mess inside and so we started again, renovating it from scratch and keeping all the original features and turning it into a home I would be happy to live in myself. I now live in London and visit Budapest as often as I can. I hope you like the apartment and the city as much as I do.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
I bought this classical apartment in the most central location I could find in Budapest. It overlooks one of Budapest's great monuments - its Basilca. The apartment was a mess inside and so we started again, renovating it from scratch and keeping all the original features and turning it into a home I would be happy to live in myself. The grand 1860's building has now also been fully renovated, making the whole property just perfect. I love staying there because everything is a stone's throw away. I go running along the Danube and my favourite bar is downstairs. The food is amazing in Budapest and we are really spoilt for choice in this part of town. If you want to go to the opera, you walk there. It's incredible.

The food is amazing in Budapest and we are really spoilt for choice in this part of town, whether in the immediate vicinity of the Basilica or on nearby Liszt Ferenc Square. If you want to go to the opera, you walk there. It's incredible. And when you come home you feel a million miles from everything, and all you see is a beautiful pedestrianised square and one of Budapest's landmark monuments lit right outside your bedroom window.
