Notes on prices
Last minute weekend booking discounts available at any time of year. We are happy to negotiate with anyone wanting to stay more than a week. Our tariff includes, welcome pack, bread, milk, butter, jam, cereal, tea, coffee and wine.
Changeover day
We are happy to be as flexible as possible, but if we have other guests arriving on the same day then we will have to ask for you to be ready to leave by 11:00 am. No preferred changeover days.

Notes on accommodation
In winter this is a very warm apartment with dual heating, heated flooring and two modern ceramic stoves. You will find if anything the apartment too warm in winter. Summer the high ceilings of 4 1/2 meter make for cool airy rooms.

Coast/Beach
Hungary has no beaches, but they do have Lakes Velencei and Balaton, Balaton being the largest lake in Europe and is two hours by car from Budapest, worth seeing if you are planning a weeks vacation. Lake Velencei can be reach in 40 minutes depending on time of day. You can windsurf on both lakes, and it is also possible to wakeboard on the Danube, not too far from the apartment by taxi.
Travel
There are currently two city airports Ferihegy 1 and Ferihegy 2a & 2b, they are close to each other but not connected, around 30 to 40 minutes depending on time of day. There is car hire in the grounds of the Marriot hotel which is a ten minute walk from the flat. Also good for breakfast.
Distances
The flat is situated at the foot of the Palace so is a few mins walk up the hill, from there you can walk on to the Castle area, in the other direction is the Gellert Monument which can be seen from the windows. A short walk over the Elizabeth Bridge brings you to Vaci street the Bond street of Budapest. There is a tram station to the front of the building connecting to underground from which you can reach all other attractions, such as the Circus, Amusement Park, and Hero's Square, Opera etc.
Further details
There is plenty to see in Budapest, you will be suprised by how big the city feels, Hero's square, The Buda Castle and Palace, Houses of Parliament, the Russian Statue park, the Opera house, Budapest Cathedral, the many Turkish style baths etc etc There are also many big events staged in Budapest,August Island festival, 20th of August St Stephens day fireworks, August Budapest parade, and of course Formula 1. There are several restaurants oposite the apartment, and there is a grocery store next to the apartment building. Also free parking for those driving to Budapest.
Booking notes
20% Deposit, the balance 6 weeks prior to travel, if booking with less than 6 week notice then payment in full.
Security deposit of two cheques each for a £100 held until your departure.
