A traditional Greek cottage tucked away on the edge of the traffic-free, hill top village of Chora, or Old Town. 5 minutes from very good restaurants and close to a small general store. There are wonderful sea views from the cottage and lovely, quiet beaches close by. Several unspoilt beaches are within easy reach. 25 minutes walk or about 10 minutes by car.

Kitchen: The big kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, small electric hob with a small oven and grill, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery for 6 people.
Living Rooms: The sitting room has a single bed settee, sea views and a door leading to the courtyard. The courtyard has a large outdoor table, is private and secluded and shaded with a vine covered pergola.
Other: The design of the house makes it ideal for a family or for two couples to share. The sitting room and large kitchen open onto a pretty, secluded courtyard for outdoor living and eating.

Towels and linen are included, but please bring your own beach towels. Petros Cottage is cleaned for you before your holiday.

Notes on accommodation
This is a very charming house in a traditional, traffic-free Greek village. It has true personality, comfortable beds and lots of room. The sea views are wonderful, a perfect house if you love the 'real' Greece. Alonissos is a simple, laid back, beautiful island with no trappings of mass-market tourism. Please note: we make a small charge of £10 per adult per week for utilities (electricity and water).

Accessibility
The village of Chora is traffic-free, but the walkways are cobbled and often steep.

Outside
Petros cottage has a pretty courtyard which is partly shaded with a large, vine covered pergola. It's spacious, private and secluded. An outdoor table seating 6 is perfect for al fresco meals. The cottage also has a good sized balcony with wonderful seaviews.

Coast/Beach
There are lots of lovely beaches within easy reach of Petros Cottage, the nearest one is about 10 minutes by car or a 20 minute walk down the hill. Alonissos is well known for its beautiful coastal walks. There are good beach and walks guides and maps in the cottage.

Travel
Fly into Skiathos airport and then onwards by hydrofoil (about an hour and a half).

Distances
It's 3km down the hill to Pattitiri where you'll find bakeries, tavernas, shops and supermarkets, a busy little harbour and cars and boats for hire. It's easy to walk to, there's a very pretty, donkey track short cut, away from the traffic.

Further details
Chora is a very picturesque, traditional Greek village. Most of the houses are whitewashed with blue paintwork. It has pretty shops and galleries, a bakery, very good tavernas and restaurants and a couple of minimarkets all within a few minutes walking distance of Petros Cottage. It is traffic-free and mostly cobbled but some of the walkways are quite steep. The sea views are wonderful and there are photo and painting opportunities everywhere you look in this beautiful, traditional village.
