"Porta del Mar" Beach Villas/Villa CALYPSO

'Calypso', 'Cleo', 'Erato' and 'Nephele' villas within Porta del mar, with direct access to a beautiful sandy beach, with spacious gardens, all with amazing sea views. The houses can accommodate from 2-6 persons(1 or 2-bedroom villas). All villas are superbly furnished and tastefully decorated in keeping with the traditional style. Spacious living rooms, large comfortable bedrooms, all air-conditioned. Fully equipped kitchens include cooker, big fridge/freezer, wooden table that seats 4-6 and full range of utensils. Spacious bathrooms (the 2-floor villas have two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs). Balconies and large verandas, fully equipped, all offering panoramic sea views! The high wooden ceilings and the hand made iron bed, combined with the strong, stone-built walls will create a magic atmosphere for your holiday. All villas include: Telephone, TV, hairdryer, kettle, safe, iron, daily maid service, 24/7 hot water, linen changed twice a week etc.

Notes on prices
Prices are up to 2 for Erato, Calypso, and up to 4 for Cleo, Nephele. Euros 70 per week per extra bed. Discounts for small children. 2 weeks (or longer) booking discounts available. Groups booking discounts available.
A 30% of the total cost is required as booking deposit. The balance is paid after your arrival and after checking the villa. Deposit can be paid via PayPal(all major credit/debit cards, no commission, no sign-up required) or by money transfer in our Bank accounts.

Villa CALYPSO (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/4)

A 50 sq.m. villa suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 children with: Living room and fully equipped kitchen with couch that sleeps 2. One bedroom with queen size bed and mosquito net - fully air conditioned (free of charge). One spacious bathroom with bath and shower. Two very large verandas with chairs, sunbeds and sun umbrellas: one in front of the garden and the other with a panoramic view of the sea! Sea view is also unlimited from inside the villa!

Villa CLEO (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4/5)

A 70 sq.m., 2-floor villa suitable for up to 5 persons: Downstairs: Fully equipped kitchen - living room with couch that sleeps 1. One bedroom with 2 single beds and free air conditioning. One bathroom with bath and shower. A large veranda fully equipped with sun-umbrella, sunbeds and chairs, facing the garden and the sea! Upstairs: The master bedroom with a double queen's size bed and air-conditioning. One smaller bathroom with shower room. A wooden balcony with amazing panoramic view of both the garden and the sea! You also have a sea view from inside the villa!

Villa ERATO (1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2/4)

A 45 sq.m. villa, suitable for 2 adults and 2 children with: Open plan living room/kitchen with couch that sleeps 2, queen size bed and free air-conditioning. One bathroom with bath, shower and bide. One large veranda with chairs, sunbeds and sun umbrellas with garden sea views! Seaview is also obtained from inside the villa!

Villa NEPHELE (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 2/6)

A 80 sq.m., 2-floor villa suitable for up to 6 persons: Downstairs: Fully equipped kitchen - living room area with couch that sleeps 2. One bedroom with 2 single beds and free air conditioning. One bathroom with bath and shower. A large veranda fully equipped with sun umbrella, sunbeds and chairs, facing the garden and the sea! Upstairs: The master bedroom with a double queen's size bed and free to use air-conditioning. One bathroom with bath and shower. A wooden balcony with amazing panoramic views of both the garden and the sea! You also have seaviews from inside the villa!

Accessibility
The place is not 100% suitable for people who have severe mobility problems. However, all villas are easily accessible in the ground floor area (bedroom, bathroom and living room/kitchen). Please e-mail us or phone us if in special needs and we will explain in more detail about the suitability of your case.

Outside
Large and relaxing gardens. Direct access to our sandy beach with free of charge sunbeds for both the garden and our beach. Astonishing sea-views from our patio. Outside furniture available in shaded areas. A small residence snack bar with soft music only opened to our guests! Barbecue and clay pizza-oven at you disposal for unforgettable evenings! A safe children’s corner and playground with a lot of toys and games! Small surf boards and sea-mattresses available free of charge to use in our beach. Free private parking for your car (we organize car hire!).

Coast/Beach
We are on the beach! We have direct access to our sandy and crystal clear waters, ideal for families and children (very safe, waters rather shallow).
We also provide free of charge sunbeds for both our gardens and our beach.

Travel
The area of Aboula- Psarou is situated between the resorts of Amoudi and Tsilivi, on the North East coast of the island of Zakynthos. Nearby, there are countless beaches and places of natural beauty. Nearest Airport : Zakynthos Airport at 17 Kilometers. Nearest Ferry : Zante Town at 12 Kilometers. Nearest Beach : Psarou Beach at 5 Meters. Nearest Bar, Pub : In Tsilivi Town at 6 Kilometers. Nearest Restaurants : Karas Grill, Tasos Tavern, Bougarini Tavern at 50 Meters. Car: not necessary.

Distances
Our place is situated in a not very built up area, in the center of “Psarou” beach. However, within walking distance (from 50 to 300 meters) you will find grocery, bakery, taverns and a couple of shared swimming pools. Of course, we highly recommend our beach, which, especially in the mornings looks like a huge quiet and blue colored “swimming pool”!
“Alykes” and “Tsilivi” are the nearest towns, just 10’ drive from “Porta del Mar”!
To explore the surrounding area, car/bike hire is recommended

Facilities: Laundry service (in our place, small fee), Snack bar-Reception with satellite paid TV, private parking area, 24 hours Wireless Internet, fax/print facilities, baby cots and highchairs, babysitting, exterior BBQ and traditional wood-oven (for special evenings!), sun-beds and umbrellas for use in your verandas and the gardens, canoes, playground area with slide, swing, mini-soccer and a lot more, table tennis and darts, table games, mountain bicycles, book and movie gallery. Our family lives on the property and its members will: welcome you and show you your villa on your arrival, provide you with detail information about the location, the island and its various activities or sites of interest, organize your rental car, if you so wish, with the best rates on the island, delivered at the airport or at your villa (car is not necessary unless you aim to explore the island). Serve you food and drinks at the residence snack bar on the beach-front garden, organize every so often BBQ or pizza evenings in our clay oven (only for our guests).

About the owner
We are a Greek family, (Tasos and Pavlina with our two children Kostas and Elina) and live on Zakynthos Island since 1991. We bought a plot of land, attached to the sea and its sandy beach in 1993. In 2003 we decided to build a few stone houses (4 one-bedroom and 4 two-bedroom) with aim to rent them during the summer period. Our first season was 2004 and ever since it has been a real success. We have met so many lovely guests here and made many friends, we could never imagine before! It makes us so proud to welcome repeated guests here, nearly every year!
