Recently completed (Winter 2009), Villa Morgana is on a slope overlooking the lovely beach at Vlycha Bay, just high enough to allow for a breathtaking view of the bay itself, the hilly coastline running north for miles and miles, and the open sea to the east. The villa itself is only yards away from the exceptional beach with crystal clear water. Offering high standards of comfort, air-conditioning throughout, two double sized bedrooms with their own balcony and extensive sea views, two bathrooms and its own private 8m x 4m overflow swimming pool, it can accommodate 4 people and 2 more if using the double sofa bed (in the living room). There is also a cot and highchair available.

Changeover day
The changeover day is flexible. Arrival is set around 4pm and the villa should be evacuated by 10am. (however, this can be flexible if we do not have another booking on the same day). Short breaks of 3-4 nights may be available dependant on availability.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 (master bedroom) complete with wardrobes and king size bed; has an individual balcony with sea views.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds, wardrobes and has also its private balcony with sea views.
There ia also a cot available.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with bath and toilet, located on the first floor.
Bathroom with shower and toilet on the ground floor.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, washing machine, iron, ironing board etc.
Living Rooms: The dining room has seating for 6 people. The lounge is luxuriously appointed with a 3 seat sofa bed, armchair, satellite HD LCD TV, DVD player, stereo installation.
Other: Air-conditioning throughout. BBQ and hairdryer available. Storage area with washing machine, iron and ironing board, mop and bucket. The surface of the swimming pool will be cleaned 3 times per week.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Linen and towels (not beach/pool towels) are changed weekly. The house is cleaned weekly during your stay. Extra cleaning/towel and linen change available for a small charge payable locally.

Accessibility
The villa is in an elevated position about 150 metres from the beach. It may not be ideally suited for someone in a wheelchair without assistance, unless possessing a car.

Outside
The garden has ample patio areas with outside furniture and a private overflow 8m x 4m swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also a private parking.

Coast/Beach
Villa Morgana is on a slope overlooking the lovely beach of Vlycha Bay with its crystal clear water. The beach is not even 150 metres away from the villa.

Travel
Rhodes town has a ferry port for crossings to neighbouring Greek islands as Kos, Symi (amazingly beautiful and really worth a one day trip), and Turkey. There are facilities within walking distance of the villa, but since the inland of the island Rhodes is still very quiet and beautiful, car hire is recommended to get the best from your holiday.

Distances
5 min by car from the lovely old town of Lindos which has a wealth of places to eat and things to do and see. The ancient Lindos Acropolis dominates the town, with a breathtaking view to both the open sea and the town. 30 min from the valley of the Butterflies. 40 min from Rhodos Airport. 50 min from Rhodes town.

Further details
On Vlycha Beach there is the opportunity to hire water sports equipment, including jet skis, canoes, inflatable rides and boats. Around the bay there are several restaurants and mini markets, a larger supermarket is only 3 minutes drive by car. You can find a large supermarket, to stock up food for your stay, in Afandou, at a 25 minutes drive from the house (on the main road Lindos - Rhodes town, direction Rhodes town).
Lindos town (approximately 1km) is an excellent centre for shops, banks, restaurants and bars.

Booking notes
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the value is required on reservation and the balance will be payable 8 weeks prior to the holiday date.

About the owner
I am Linda and married to Yannis. I am Belgian while Yannis is Greek and his origin is Rhodes, although he has lived in Cairo. We live in Belgium and visit Rhodes frequently. Having been to Lindos several times, we decided to purchase a house there, having in mind to move in permanently in the future.

Reading about our profile, you will already have an idea of why we chose this location. Having in mind to move permanently in the future, we did our best to have it built to the best possible standards. Lindos! Of course! How can I speak about our house omitting it's main advantage, it's approximately 1.5 km from the exceptionally beautiful town, bay and acropolis of Lindos!!!

Unique benefits of the property
Knowing that the eastern side of Rhodes Island is hot and dry, which I consider as an advantage, we considered a 'must' to build a pool of satisfactory dimensions (4m x 8m). This also added to the pleasure of spending time on the veranda without having to move elsewhere for swimming or simply refreshing oneself.
