Equipped to a high standard for our own use our 3 bedroom house is ideal for a relaxing summer holiday, a spring or autumn break and as a base for touring local castles and the archaeological sites of the Peloponnese. It is in a rural peaceful location with stunning panoramic views of the Gulf of Messinia, a peaceful garden and many sandy beaches nearby, our local and favourite beach is 8 minutes walk. Eat outside on the south and east facing terrace at all times of the year listening to the birds, enjoying a champagne breakfast or counting the shooting stars at night. Our house has air-conditioning. Spring and Autumn are ideal times to visit with olive groves full of flowers in the spring.

Notes on accommodation
Two Hair Dryers, CD/radio. Air-conditioning/heating is included in the rental price. Please note this is a 'no smoking house'. Sorry but no pets. The third bedrooom can be used as a cosy and quiet reading room.

Easy assess from car to front entrance with small step, wide enough for a wheel chair. Downstairs bedrooms, bathroom with bath and shower (no disability adaptations). Patios with tables and chairs outside the bedrooms overlook olive groves towards the sea and mountains. Easy assess to and from the front patio and gardens. Portable barbeque. Stairs to kitchen/lounge area, third bedroom and second wc.
Outside
Marble patio table with chairs on upstairs balcony. The front garden terrace and rear terrace provide shaded areas at different times of day with there own patio tables and chairs. Outside shower and barbecue.
Coast/Beach
There are many sandy beaches nearby the nearest of which is a quiet beach 8 minutes walk though the olive grove then down & along a short track past lemon and orange trees. You may be lucky enough to see a tortoise on the way. Guests have seen turtles swimming close to our local beach, in Koroni harbour and hatching on Zaga beach.
Zaga, Memi and Peroulia are nearby sandy beaches within 10 minutes drive with shady beach side tavernas and stunning mountain views, Peroulia is 20 mins walk.
Travel
Consider starting your holiday with a cheap flight to Athens and a drive on the quiet motorway to Kalamata. We can help you with all travel arrangements, locate the cheapest flights, car hire and if required arrange overnight accommodation on arrival at Athens airport where Theodore will meet you. Alternatively flights to Kalamata are from May to October then a 40 minute drive on local roads through rural Greece.
Distances
Koroni and Methoni castles are Venetian castles which were once the eyes of Venice surveying the shipping lanes between the Adriatic and Crete. Ancient Messinia is an hours drive away. Pylos with its wonderful square and castle is a must see and 50 minutes drive from Koroni with the idylic bay of Voidokilia a further 15 minutes drive. Ancient Olympia is approximately 2.5 hours drive. Too many interesting archaeological sites to mention here.
Further details
Koroni has two banks with cash machines and a post office. There is a pharmacy and a health centre in Koroni and in Agia Andreas. Numerous bakeries, butchers, grocery shops, patisseries, newsagents everything you need for the self catering holiday.
Koroni's Sunday morning fruit and vegetable market is worth a visit.
Windsurfing, sea kayaking and sailing are available on Memi beach.
Scooter and cycle hire in Koroni. Painting/drawing sessions and horse riding available locally. Scuba diving, fishing trips and boat hire are availbale in Pylos.
The nearby town of Harakopia has traditional bars and a taverna.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required on booking, the balance is then payable 1 month prior to your holiday. Payment accepted in UK pounds or euros, for payment by euro the total price of your holiday will be fixed using the exchange rate at the time of booking. In the event of cancellation monies paid will be refunded if we are able re-rent the property.

In an unspoilt part of Greece, our house has all the advantages of a rural location in walking distance of our quiet local beach yet within easy reach of Koroni with its shops, banks and local tavernas. Once you have unwound from the hassle of work there many places to explore with a sandy beach or a local taverna available at every stop. You will remember the views from our balcony.
