Notes on accommodation
House not really suitable for very young children owing to high wall of terrace. Downstairs bedrooms have electric ceiling fans and upstairs large bedroom has air conditioning unit and electric heaters are available for use in low season when the evenings can be a little cooler.

Outside
House is reached by a private drive and is set in just over half an acre of private garden. There is a large upper terrace, together with further sunbathing areas around the pool. There is a gas barbeque and plenty of comfortable chairs and sunbeds. The pool is 10x4.5m. We have designed a large new shaded area by the pool for afternoon lazing.
Coast/Beach
There is a delightful little cove just 4 minutes away in the car, and a larger beach 7 minutes with sunbeds, pedaloes and taverna. You can find long sandy beaches at the lively resort of Alykes together with water sports.
Special interest holidays
This area of Northern Zakynthos is an area of outstanding natural beauty, where the only noise you can usually hear are the sicadas and the tinkling of goat bells. Time stands still. Luxuriantly fertile mountains, ancient villages, Venetian monasteries, together with the bustling resorts of the south make this an island to please everyone.

Zakynthos Airport 40 minutes away. Car hire essential.
Distances
Nearest villages are Ano Volimes and Volimes just 5 minutes away in the car, you can buy bread, milk, veg and meat here along with local pottery, the nearest supermaket is in Alykes, 15 minutes by car. Zakynthos just 40 minutes is a fascinating and bustling town with excellent shopping, art and culture.
Further details
There is a local shop 200 metres away selling non perishable goods, excellent tavernas are listed in the house with directions all within easy distance offering wonderful local organic dishes. Alykes is a lively resort offering supermarkets, nightclubs, restuarants, bars and cashpoint machines. There is a waterpark 30 minutes away on the road to Zakynthos town. The famous shipwreck beach is just 15 minutes away by car, or you can visit it by boat which leaves from the port of Aghios Nikolaos (12 mins by car) and takes in the equally famous and beautiful Blue Caves.
