Aeolus and Stavlo posess a charm and beauty all of their own. Aeolus, the main house has a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, leading through French windows to the many terraces and seating areas outside. On the first floor are located the bedrooms and bathroom. French windows from the bedrooms open out onto a large balcony with stunning views of the sea and mountains beyond. Stavlo is separately located, adjacent to the main house. It is a self contained studio, with kitchen/dining area and bathroom. The pool is surrounded by terracing allowing ample space for sun bathing and magnificent well kept gardens. Outside is a traditional BBQ and bread oven, which is a feature of this property and ample car parking.

Bedroom 3 in Stavlo 3 single divans (Z bed available).
Bathrooms: Both houses have well appointed large airy shower rooms with toilet and hand wash basin. In main house there is a switch for accelerated hot water in shower room.
Kitchen: The spacious kitchen area is fully equipped with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, toasted sandwich maker, coffee machine and seating for up to 8 people.
Utility Room: Washing machine and hand wash facilities are available.
Living Rooms: The living room area is open plan and spacious, comprising of open fireplace, 2 large sofabeds (single) and nice interior decoration. CD player. Small library. 3 French doors open onto the lower terraces.
Other: Wall fitted safe.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Midweek maid service is available if required. Towels and linen are included (not beach towels).

 

Notes on accommodation
This property is ideally placed for those who like to relax and get away from it all, the secluded gardens provide complete privacy and yet the harbour and other sights are only minutes away. The pool area is particularly favoured by the children.

Outside
Extensive gardens, terraces, BBQ and outside oven, extensive outside seating, hammock and ample car parking are the features of the outside area. The area can be well lit up outside at night for late returners.

Coast/Beach
Situated in the hillside village of Korythi the property is approximately 2km to the nearest beach at the pretty little port of Agios Nicolaos by car (4 mins). The drive from the airport up the coast road to Aeolus provides breathtaking views of the sandy beaches and craggy inlets as you journey up to the villa.

Travel
A car is essential to make the most of your holiday in Zakynthos, although taxis are readily available. It is a lovely island with much to see and do. The Villa Aeolus is approximately 30 minutes drive from Zakynthos Airport.

Distances
The village of Volimes is approximately 15 mins away by car and is well worth a visit to see the the many road side stalls, cafes and tavernas. Shipwreck Bay and the Blue Caves are close by. Zakynthos, a cosmopolitan town is well worth a visit for those seeking the action.

Further details
Zakynthos is noted for being one of the most scenic Greek islands with a central mountain spine clothed in luxuriant Mediterranean pines, the northern part of the island where Aeolus is located being particularly beautiful. Korythi village has a bakery van visit each morning. A small shop in the port has a comprehensive selection of everyday items such as bread, milk, vegetables etc. There are 2 supermarkets located in Katastari which is only a 15 mins drive away. The mountain village of Volimes about 20 mins away is an ideal place for souvenir hunting with a wide variety of local goods and artefacts for sale in its many market stalls and shops. Here you will find locally made pottery, linens, leather goods, honey and olive oil.

Booking notes
A non-returnable deposit of £250 is required to secure the booking. The balance is required 6 weeks in advance of the departure date. Details of directions to the property from the airport and details of the keys will be issued on receipt of final payment.

Guest comments
Martin and Sharon have let us be their first guests at Aeolus. Apart from the supermarket, we have only been to Volimes once we didn't want to go any further, it's such an idyllic place to be. D&D.

Sharon and Martin have "a honey of a place here" it is our third year! Barbara. N
