A large 5 bedroom luxury house built in the 18th century all with marble an-suite bathrooms. This mansion once housed a nobleman and his staff. It has now become one of the most comfortable homes on the island of Hydra. The house has great views of the Mediterranean sea on one side and of the village on the other. Lots of outside terrace areas for outdoor eating and sunbathing. The house also has a private swimming pool and its gardens are maintained to a high standard. The island of Hydra is very peaceful because there are no cars. The only form of transport is by foot or by donkey! Architectural features include marble floors throughout, high wooden ceilings, grey stone terraces and stone walls surrounding the property and arched door entrances and windows. The vacation house is also decorated with original art work, echoing Hydra's rich artistic heritage, which has produced artists, painters and important politicians. The bustling town of Hydra is only a ten minutes walk.
