The municipality of Portaria, 12 km from the beach belongs at the heart of Mt Pelion and Prefecture of Magnesia which is one of the most privileged in central Greece. The area has been inhabited from the neolithical era, as proven by the ruins of settlements found in the well known archaeological sites of Sesklo and Dimini. Most of the findings, are now exposed at the Archeological Mouseum of the city of Volos. Mount Pelion, known as the mountain of the Centaurs, spread between the Aegean and Pagasitikos Gulf. It has many picturesque villages, with traditional architecture and stone paved paths for walking, known as Kalderimia. Visitors of the area can choose between many beautiful different places, up to the mountain or by the sea, on both sides of Pelion, offering a wide choice for wonderful holidays. Mount Pelion is a wonderful destination for "all year round and 4 seasons tourism". It is the ideal place to explore the beautiful natural and cultural environment.

Villa Portaria is an independent house of 200m2 that has been constructed according to the traditional architecture of mountain Pelion villages, with many windows to the south, that give sunlight to every corner of the house and a wonderful sea view of Pagasitikos Gulf.
On the upper floor of 45m2, there is the main bedroom with a double bed, the main bathroom-jacuzzi and another living room (which it can be used as a separate bedroom, with twin beds).
On the middle floor of 80m2, there are, a double bedroom, a w.c.–shower, a spacious living room, furnished in a very comfortable style, (stereo, TV, video), the fire place and the dining table
There is also a fully equipped kitchen which leads on, to a large terrace with pergola and open sea view.
On the lower floor of 75m2, there is an independent studio with a bedroom, the living room with its sofa - beds, a kitchen corner and a w.c.- shower.
