This 2/3 bedroom, 2 shower villa is set in a peaceful valley surrounded by olive and fruit trees is not overooked and has wonderful mountain or sea views from every window. Built and furnished to the highest standards the first floor in marble consists of a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen, a study/3rd bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The second floor in oak has a spacious master double bedroom (with travel cot), a second double bedroom and a luxurious bath and jacuzzi shower room. Outside marble stairs lead to a large roof terrace which is not overlooked with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the Cretan Sea. The villa sleeps 6 adults comfortably but extra beds can be arranged on request.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Friday, athough we will be flexible if possible to suit flight availability.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has been built to the highest standards for all year round living in an open plan format with high ceilings throughout. No matter how hot it gets outside the villa remains refreshingly cool and you will rarely need to use the ceiling fans.
Outside
You will not be overlooked on the 110 sq.m. tiled terrace surrounding the villa with a furnished pergola, ideal for lazy breakfasts shaded from the morning sun. The terrace has sunny and shaded areas throughout the day. Bedroom balconies 6 sq m, a roof terrace/solarium of 32 sq.m. and a 1040 sq.m. garden planted with old olive and carob trees and young olive, orange & lemon trees, yukka, bouganvillea and various local shrubs, The rocky 'old' garden at the rear of the villa has as its centrepiece an old 'Aloni' or threshing floor.
Coast/Beach
Bali has 4 main sandy beaches with watersports and all well served by excellent bars and tavernas, this is a problem as it can be difficult to choose which one to use, and a couple of secluded coves.
The closest beach is 1400 m from the villa. A gentle 15 to 20 min walk through olive groves, and the 3 other beaches are 5 mins apart around the bay, all are ideal for swimming in the crystal clear sea as the bay is sheltered from the prevailing breeze from the north.
Golf
Crete's first championship golf course is a 75 minute drive away.
Special interest holidays
May is an excellent month to explore Crete from the villa's central location as the weather is normally sunny and warm and the Island is still in bloom with Spring flowers.
Travel
Bali is midway between the airport at Heraklion (45 kms) and Rethymnon (32 kms) on the north coast of Crete.

Distances
Bali is a popular resort in a 2 km long sheltered bay with 15 excellent tavernas, 12 bars and 2 night clubs to choose from. It attracts a good mix of visitors from all over Europe and is also popular with local Cretan and Greek holidaymakers. From the working fishing harbour coastal boat trips run daily to various locations including the atmospheric town of Rethymnon.
Further details
The resort remains fully open until the end of October. In Bali you will find many supermarkets, a bakery, an ATM cash point, a doctor's surgery and health clinic, 3 internet cafes and several outlets to exchange money.
Booking notes
Your booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a non refundable 30% deposit, the balance is due 10 weeks before your arrival date. For late bookings ie within 10 weeks of arrival dates the full amount must be paid.
Payment can be made by personal cheque or bank transfer.
It is a condition of your booking that your party are all covered by a suitable travel insurance policy.
