This recently built apartment is situated in one of the most picturesque locations on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. Built on the isthmus of Assos, Apartment Caroline enjoys the complete tranquillity of south facing panoramic views of Myrtos Gulf while being in the centre of the village. The entrance to the apartment has the benefit of being from street level. On entering, the bright and spacious lounge is stylishly furnished and has double doors to a seafront balcony with sun loungers. There is a second sea front balcony from the bedroom. Assos is a genuinely unspoilt Greek village on the West coast of the island and offers the perfect spot for peace and relaxation. Just a minutes walk away there is good swimming and excellent snorkelling, self drive boat hire is also available. A selection of small tavernas offer a good range of Greek and European cuisine which include locally caught fish. Car/scooter hire is easily arranged in the village, although not essential.

Changeover day
We try to keep change over day to a Sunday however if this is not convenient please call us to discuss. We ask incoming guests to arrive after 3 pm and outgoing guests to vacate the apartment by 11am.

Coast/Beach
Assos beach is a minute walk and the stunning Myrtos beach is aprox 15 minutes by car. Other small coves and beaches within a few kilometres.
Travel
Kefalonia airport is aprox 1 hour by car or taxi.
Distances
The yaughting harbour towns of Fiscardo and Agia Efimia are aprox 25 minutes. Other interesting places to go within 1 hr by car include Antisamos beach, Drogarati cave, Melissani lake and the port of Sami.
Further details
From the apartment there is an excellent walk to the Venetian Assos castle (especially in the spring). All the local tavernas in Assos have good reputations but for those wishing to go further afield, the nearby villages of Vasilicades, Maganos, Antipata and Divarata all have good family run tavernas. For those who hire a small self drive motor boat from Assos, other tavernas will be found at Zola, Alatiez and Agia Jerusalem. Further information on north Kefalonia will be found in the apartment.
