Accessibility
Villa offers one bedroom and bathroom on ground floor and several ground floor terraces for convenience of older guests. Most of our guests have young children. The pool has railings around the terrace and non-slip tiles around and in it. The raised terrace at the end of the pool allows you to keep a close eye.
Outside
Fabulous pool area with private 40m2 pool, gardens, patio area with 8 sun loungers and raised shaded terrace with BBQ and huge table and chairs for relaxing. Perfect for that long lunch whilst watching the kids in the pool. Fabulous first floor terrace with table and chairs and the most amazing views across the olive groves to the coast at Kalyves and the Akrotiri peninsula.
Coast/Beach
5 minutes drive to 2 fabulous beaches at Kalyves. Numerous other beaches close by. The beach in Kalyves centre is particularly family friendly, being a sheltered bay with gently sloping sand into the sea. Plenty of amenities here with numerous tavernas/shops. The beach just outside of Kalyves is larger and more open and has a couple of tavernas.
Special interest holidays
We can recommend a good local tour operator who can organise everything from a day walking the Samaria Gorge, mountain biking in the white mountains, sailing, day trips to Santorini and much more. For those who want to be completely independent there is plenty of walking in the White Mountains nearby - please ask for further information, would be happy to provide. Scuba diving is also available from professional outfit at Chania harbour 25 minutes drive away. Horse riding available at Georgeopolis only 20 minutes drive.
Travel
Nearest airport is Chania (approx 30 minutes), with Heraklion around 90 minutes drive away. Ferry port at Souda bay approximately 20 minutes drive. Car hire is advisable and we can recommend a reliable company. Approx taxi costs: Chania Airport: 40 euros in high season. Heraklion Airport: 100 euros in high season. We can provide the number of a local taxi driver if required with whom you can pre-book.

Booking notes
Deposit required to secure booking of £500. Balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. Breakage deposit of £200 is payable with final balance and will be returned following stay.
