Villa Blue Harbour is set in the traditional farming area of Kokkino Chorio made famous by the film of Zorba the Greek. Its mountainside location provides uninterrupted panoramic views of Souda Bay, the Aegean Sea, White Mountains and the Akrotiri Peninsula. The villa sits in extensive grounds with Drapanos mountain as its backdrop. One of the highlights of your stay at Villa Blue Harbour will be to take advantage of its location and enjoy watching the most magnificent sunsets as the evening lights come on below. The villa has a large balcony off both bedrooms and a sun terrace leading to the pool.

Changeover day
Our preferred changeover day is a Tuesday, however other days can be agreed. Access into the villa is from 4pm on day of arrival. Departure is 10 am on your last day.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed. Air-conditioning and French doors on to large balcony. Bedroom 2 with double bed. Air-conditioning and french doors leading to balconies (front and rear). Double sofa bed located on ground floor in its own area. |
| Bathrooms: | Ground floor shower room with wc and wash basin. First floor bath with shower, wc and wash basin. Hairdryer supplied. |
| Kitchen: | Kitchen and dining area has a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Dining table seats 6. |
| Utility Room: | The washing machine is on the ground floor in a separate room under the stairs. There is an iron and ironing board, clothes airer and pegs and vacuum cleaner. |
| Living Rooms: | The spacious ground floor is open plan with lounge and dining area. The modern lounge consists of 2 sofas, 2 leather recliners and foot stools, coffee table and side tables. Satellite TV, DVD/Video, stereo system, iPod docking station and DVDs/books. |
| Other: | Sun terrace has table and chairs with sun loungers. The upstairs balcony has a marble dining table with chairs. The areas around the villa have been landscaped, while the rest of the land has been left natural. The gated property has a private driveway. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are included and will be changed once a week. The property will receive a full clean prior to guest arrival. Additional linen/towel change or cleaning can be arranged with a local resident. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has air conditioning in the two bedrooms. Each double bed has overhead mosquito nets. The property is ideal for couples and smaller parties with the added benefit of the double sofa bed to sleep a maximum of 6. There is a selection of DVDs, videos and books. A welcome pack of food and beverages will be provided to get your holiday off to a great start.

Accessibility
The villa is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Outside
There are many outside seating and dining areas in which to take in the magnificent sunsets. The property has a planted garden with a variety of shrubs and selection of fruit trees. The private 40 sqm pool is located at the side and rear of the villa to take advantage of the views. The large sun terrace leads to the pool and has a dining table and chairs and sun loungers. The villa stands in a large 2000sq.m plot.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful, blue flag beach of Almyrida is less than 10 mins drive away where you can make use of the windsurfing school, take out a catamaran or snorkel off the rocks. Kalives is a 15 mins drive and is larger than Almyrida with 3 main stretches of beach.
Travel
Car hire is essential. The nearest airport is Chania (40 minutes drive). Heraklion airport is approximately 2 hours away.

Chania airport - 30 minutes drive.
Heraklion airport - 2 hour drive.
Kalives - 10 minute drive.
Plaka - 2 minute drive.
Almyrida - 5 minute drive.
Chania - 30 minutes.
The rest of the island can easily be explored by car.
Further details
Almyrida is a beautiful crescent shaped bay lined with shops, tavernas and bars. There is an ATM machine and money exchange facilities in the village. The nearest bank is in Kalives 10 minutes drive away. The health centre in Vamos is 20 minutes drive. There are also a doctors and dentists available.

Bookings can be made by telephone or email. A 25% deposit will be required to confirm your booking. The remainder of the balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.

We have stayed in many villas overseas but we have never stayed in a villa with such amazing views.
