The Villas Ponente and Levante with their beautiful mountain and valley views are ideal for renting individually or for large groups of family and friends. The Aloni Villas are surrounded by vibrant mature scented gardens and fruit trees and have the exclusive use of a large pool 11m x 5.5m (pool heating available) with terraces for both sun and shade. There is a stylish outside kitchen area and barbecue with a dining for 10. The villas are walking distance (750m) from the attractive and popular yachting harbour of Agia Efimia, with its waterside cafes and tavernas, shops and delightful small pebble beaches and coves, ideal for snorkelling in the crystal clear water. The Aloni Villas have free wireless internet.

Kitchen: Maple coloured cabinets with black granite work surfaces, cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker. It is fully equipped with high quality china, glass, cooking utensils/pots and cutlery. Dining: Maple dining table, black leather dining chairs. French doors leading to a large terrace containing mosaic table with matching chairs. Living Room: Sofa bed, two easy chairs, coffee tables, etc. satellite TV, DVD, HI-FI, and wood burning stove. French doors leading to the same large terrace with a pergola framed with scented Jasmine. Basement: Fully equipped laundry room. |

Notes on accommodation
On arrival you will be greeted by our English speaking local representative who is available to assist you in any way during your stay. The Levante & Ponente Villas can be rented individually, but would also be suitable for a party of 2 to 10 wanting shared facilities outside, but individual privacy internally. All bedrooms are air conditioned & as the villas are fully central heated & have wood-burning stoves they are very comfortable in the winter & spring. All linen is provided including house, pool and beach towels and there is a maid service three times a week with the linen, towels & pool towels changed twice weekly. There are travel cots & high chairs for use (although not linen for the travel cots). The pool is cleaned early morning thrice weekly. We provide a welcome hamper together with complimentary L'Occitane hair & body products for the bathrooms. All bedrooms are non-smoking. Each villa has private parking space inside the electric gated entrance. Free WiFi provided.
Outside
The Levante and Ponente each have a large terrace with tables and chairs for alfresco eating and romantic evenings. The villas are surrounded by scented gardens with roses, honeysuckle and jasmine climbling and tumble over walls and pergolas. Bougainvillea, oleanders and many other flowering shrubs create a colourful display. There are orange, lemon, nespole, fig and numerous olive trees. Surrounded by extensive terraces, which have sun and shade, is a large swimming pool 11m x 5.5 m with a constant depth of 1.4 m (pool heating is available to a maximum of 82F/28C at an additional cost) and heated shower. There is a fully equipped outside stylish kitchen with barbecue, fridge etc. and an adjacent dining area shaded by a pergola with a table that can seat 10. There are numerous loungers, director's chairs and deck chairs from which you can relax, unwind soak up the enchanting valley and mountain views that surround this outstanding property and side tables to hold your cold drinks.
Coast/Beach
A 15 minute drive through the valley takes you to the world famous Myrtos Beach noted for the beauty of its smooth marble pebbles & the magical colours of the water; Anti Samos Beach, with the breathtaking sweep of the bay & sparkling clear water, ideal for snorkeling, is a 25 minute drive along the beautiful east coast with the view of the Island of Ithaca always in sight. Within and just outside Agia Efimia there are many small beaches & coves perfect for snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing.
Travel
The airport (EFL) is 60 minutes drive away and there are direct flights on Tuesday’s from Birmingham, Cardiff, Gatwick, Luton, Manchester with various airlines inc Easyjet,Thomas Cook,Thomsonfly/Thomson and daily flights from Athens. There are ferries from Patra and Brindisi (Italy) to the main port Sami (8km) and from Kyllini to the port of Poros (33km). A car is not essential, but recommended, so that one can explore and appreciate this beautiful island. Taxis can be arranged on request.
Distances
Agia Efimia is 750m. You can get a ferry to Ithaca, Patras & other ports from Sami which is 8 km away. Sami also has many amenities, bank & medical centre. The fascinating Drogorati Caves are 11 km away & the Mellisani Underground Lake, just outside Karavomilos is 6 km. Argostoli, the capital, 31 km from the villas has a wealth of shops, restaurants & bars plus the Archeological Museum and Corgialeneion Historial & Folk Art Museums. The pretty port of Fiscardo is 29 km & picturesque Assos 10 km.
Further details
Whilst maintaining its village charm the colourful yachting harbour of Agia Efimia, in the municipality of Pylaros, offers an abundance of waterside tavernas, cafes and bars in which you can enjoy traditional Greek cuisine and a warm welcome. There are supermarkets, traditional bakeries, butchers, souvenir shops, a post office, pharmacy and cash point. In Agia Efimia you can hire cars and mopeds and to explore the pretty small secluded beaches and coves you can hire a motorboat. Yachts and catamarans are available for charter and there is an established PADI and CMAS training diving centre for the more adventurous. For the active there are tennis courts for hire and popular walking trails through the spectacular valley where you can observe goats and sheep and enjoy the local flora and fauna. Horse riding is also available nearby. Favourite pastimes of locals and tourists alike are watching the yachting flotillas coming in and out of the harbour and the magnificent sunsets.
Agia Efimia is an excellent base for exploring the rest of Kefalonia such as picturesque Assos (10 km) with its tiny harbour and remains of a 16thC Venetian Castle. The delightful port of Fiscardo (29 km) with its pastel coloured Venetian buildings and busy water front and where you can get a ferry to Ithaca or Lefkada. The second largest town is Lixouri (30 km) which has a local car ferry running between the town and the capital Argostoli (31 km) with its museums, plentiful shops, banks, tavernas, bars and nightlife. The port of Poros (33 km) Skala (42 km) with its long beaches and pine trees. In nearby, Sami (8 km) the ruins of ancient Sami are on the hilltop overlooking the town. For wonderful panoramic views visit Mount Ainos or spelt a different way Enos which is the tallest mountain in Kefalonia being 1,628 metres high and was declared a National Park in 1962 by the Greek State.
