This one bedroom house is situated within the village of Stoupa, a 5 minute walk from the sandy beach, harbour, supermarket, cash point, quiet Bars, tavernas and restaurants. Set in a residential area amongst the friendly locals with magnificent views of the sea and the Taygetos Mountains from the bedroom balcony and with a large patio area with a table and 6 chairs ideal for eating and reading which also has views of the mountains. This one bedroom house will sleep 4/5 comfortably. Air conditioning / heating added to bedroom December 2007. Calor gas heaters available downstairs for winter lets.

Notes on accommodation
This 2 storey house has a studio type ground floor with a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The bedroom balcony has wonderful views of the mountains and the sea. Fans, Calor gas and halogen heaters available. Shutters on all windows. Hot water plentiful. Air conditioning / heater in bedroom payable locally at 30 euros per week. Stair gates available.
Outside
Large patio at front of house with views of the Taygetos Mountain range. Table and 6 chairs and large umbrella for shade on patio. Perfect for easy access from kitchen for eating outside. Small BBQ kept under house for use on patio.
Coast/Beach
A 5 min stroll past Orange and Pomegranate trees will take you to the wonderful sandy bay and harbour of Stoupa. A further 10 min walk will lead you to Kalogria Beach. There is a third small beach, Halikoura, which is even closer to the house turning left before you get to Stoupa beach. All these beaches are excellent for children. Water sports are restricted to pedaloes, canoes and small boats.
Travel
Stoupa is a 1 hour drive from the nearest airport which is Kalamata (open May - October). The alternative is Athens (4 hours drive away) which has daily flights all year. Car hire or taxis (45 euros each way) can be arranged from Kalamata. Ferries come into Patras from Italy approx 5 hours drive.
Distances
Agios Nikolaos, 1 hour coastal walk or 10 mins on bus, small fishing village. Kardamili 10 mins on bus. Lovely church and museum. Bus timetable in house. Ancient Olympia, 175km, excursions arranged locally. Palace of Nestor 87km.
Further details
The lovely village of Stoupa has 3 beaches and a fishing harbour. There are 2 doctors surgeries, a dentist and a health centre in Agios Nikaloas 4km away. There is no bank but there is a cash point and the supermaket and local travel agents will exchange currencies. There are many tavernas and bars, none with blaring music. The place for a peaceful holiday.
