Villa Mandalay is a privately owned detached villa set in a Mediterranean garden with lemon, orange and olive trees, large BBQ area, sun terraces and balcony. Fabulous sea and mountain views. Five minutes walk to Pessada village. Two minutes walk to the rocks and secluded sandy beach (picture below) ideal for sunbathing, crystal clear water perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Notes on prices
Prices for 2012 have been held again for the fourth year running.
Prices shown are per week with up to 4 people sharing.
In May and October, £85 per extra person.
June and September, £90 per extra person.
July and August, £140 per extra person.
Changeover day
Preferred change over day is Sunday during July and August, this can be flexible out of season and can be discussed when booking.

Notes on accommodation
Accommodation is on three floors two kingsize bedrooms, shower room 1, wc and laundry on the lower floor. Open plan living room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. Double bedroom with sunterrace, single bedroom with balcony, shower room and wc on the first floor.
Outside
Private, well stocked flower gardens all round, large brick built
traditional Greek BBQ, sun terrace with large sunblind, outside dining tables and chairs, outside shower, lawned area with sun loungers and large parasol. Our tortoise has lived in the garden for many years, a favourite with the kids!
Coast/Beach
2 minutes walk to a secluded sandy cove (see photos). Kefalonia is known for its beautiful coastline, there are many gorgeous beaches all within short driving distances.
Travel
Car hire is recommended, you can prearrange your car to be at the airport or I would be pleased to arrange it for you. The airport is a 15 minute drive from the villa. From Pessada you can take a day trip to Zante on the ferryboat.
Distances
Pessada village is 5 minutes walk and the main shopping town is Argostoli which is 20 minutes by car or bus.
Further details
There is a good village shop and restaurant in Pessada. Three supermarkets all within 15 minutes drive. The bakery and cake shop are at Peratata, 10 minutes drive. There is a good selection of tavernas in most of the surrounding villages and towns.
There are ATM's and banks where you can change money, buy most other things and enjoy nightlife in Argostoli which is the main shopping town, 20 minutes drive from Pessada.
Travliata (10 minutes) has a new modern ten pin bowling alley.
Water sports on the beach at Skala.
Motorboat hire is available at Skala, Argostoli and Fiskardo.
A trip to Mellisani Lake and the Drogorati Cave are worth a visit.
Booking notes
Bookings are direct with the owner. A 20% deposit is taken at the time of booking and the balance paid 4 weeks prior to your holiday.

It was everything we wanted it to be and more. The best things were watching a Loggerhead turtle being born on the beach near the villa and the local Taverna which we ate at every night. Why the owner chose a home in this location
I bought Villa Mandalay 9 years ago, situated in the quiet fishing village of Pessada, away from the crowds and tourist resorts. Just down the path is a little secluded sandy cove, just like the bounty advert, a taste of paradise!
Unique benefits of the property
The villa is on 3 floors, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor and the same on the lower floor, making it ideal for a two family holiday. Home from home, CD's, books and videos for the younger ones, there's everything from beach toys and loungers to cots and potties. Although villa Mandalay is in a quiet village, there are shops, bars, banks and good tavernas all within a short drive.
