Uta and Toni sailed into Fiskardo over 25 years ago and discovered this peaceful old farmhouse with its wonderful views over the west coast of Kefalonia. They never left and have now lovingly restored the farmhouse, which with its whitewashed walls, stone floors and original artworks has a rustic charm all too rare today. Available for guests are a one bedroom studio (WC, shower, separate kitchen and terrace with big fireplace-grill), one bedroom apartment (WC, shower, large terrace above the sea, living room with dining table and fireplace, separate kitchen), and a two bedroom cottage (1 double, 1 twin ), (WC, shower, terrace with dining table and stone-fireplace with grill, separate kitchen) adjoining the main house. Surrounding the house are shady terraces which abound with mature trees, multi-coloured flowers and aromatic herbs. This is a place to relax and get away from it all, yet it is only a short drive (10 mins) to the stylish resort of Fiskardo.

Notes on accommodation
This old farmhouse has magnificent views of the Ionian Sea and sunsets from all terraces, windows, all the beds and even from one WC! The farmhouse has a variety of accommodation, suitable either for couples, or families or groups of friends who wish to holiday together but enjoy their own privacy. Extra beds are available for children (up to 12) with no additional charge. The thick stone walls and shady terraces keep the farmhouse cool in summer and warm in winter. Wild silk duvets are available for summer and Danish duvets for winter. The kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering.
Outside
The farmhouse is set in large private gardens with mature trees, aromatic herbs and multi coloured flowers. There are magnificent west facing views over Kefalonia, Assos, Lixouri and the sunset.
Coast/Beach
15 mins walk (under 5 mins drive) to the small Alaties cove or 20 mins walk (5 mins drive) to Agia Jerusalim beach. Both have tavernas. Freshwater springs around the island make the clear blue sea here less salty than other parts of the Mediterranean.
Travel
Kefallinia airport is just over an hour’s drive away. Ferries connect Kefalonia to the mainland and other islands. Car hire is essential.
Distances
The village of Manganos with tavernas, supermarket and greengrocers is 5 mins away by car. The resort of Fiskardo with its boutiques, restaurants, bank, cash points, supermarkets, post office, boat hire and diving school is a 10 mins drive. There is a medical centre at Vasilikades 15 mins drive away. Argostoli, the island’s capital with its busy seafront market, shops and museums is 1 hour’s drive.
