Newly built Villa “Geofos”, is located in a beautiful area of southern Lefkada very close to the most famous beaches in Greece, Egremnoi and Porto Katsiki. An ideal spot for privacy, relaxation and contact with nature. From the courtyard of the house one can enjoy the splendid colours of dawn and sunset, the evening starry sky and the reflection of the moon in the waters beneath the terrace. The residence is built on 2 levels, in the traditional way with natural materials and local stone. Both levels communicate with each other via an indoor wooden staircase but both have independent access through the courtyard. All the rooms are surrounded by large stone terraces and all have a view to the sea and the islands of Ithaca and Cephalonia as well as other small islands. By the residence there is a rectangular swimming pool and a garden with local plants, olives and cypress trees.

Towels and linen included. Maid service and change of towels and linen twice a week. Breakfast on agreement (extra charge). Relaxing massage (Hot stones, Shiatsu, Reflexology) from an authorised man educated in Japan, in the villa, 15-25 euros per hour. |
Notes on accommodation
The excellent microclimatic conditions of the region, the summer breeze and the local winds, in combination with the orientation of the house and the arrangement of the exterior openings ensure natural cooling even during the hot summer days and render air conditioning unnecessary.

Outside
By the residence there is a rectangular swimming pool 4m x 10m surrounded by a lounge area of 100 sq.m. with deck chairs. On the grounds surrounding the villa the plants and the trees of the region have been maintained. The sages and thymes grow among the olive trees, the cypresses and other native plants, all protected by the stone walls that mark the terraces. There is also a garden with vines, fig trees and small fruit trees.
Coast/Beach
To the west a 5 minute drive to Porto Katsiki the famous turquoise waters of Lefkas and 10 minutes drive to the other famous beach Egremnoi. 15 minutes drive to Gialos beach and 20 minutes drive to Kathisma beach. To the east a 25 mins drive to Nidri and all the easten beaches such as Poros, Amouso, Syvota. Fantastic daily cruise from Vasiliki and Nidri to smaller islands Meganisi, Skorpios and some others, cruise to private beaches and also to the nearest islands such as Ithaki and Kefalonia.
Travel
From Preveza (Aktio airport) 55km, 70 minutes drive to the villa, from Athens (El.Venizelos) airport a 45 mins flight to Aktion, or a 5.00 hours travel by car.
By ferries from Italy: Arrival to Patras and then 3.00 hours travel by car or arrival to Igoumenitsa and then 2.15 hours travel by car.
Lefkas island is connected to the mainland Greece by a bridge and there is no need of ferry.

43km from the city of Lefkada, 50 minutes drive.
10 minutes drive to Vasiliki, the seat of the Municipality (6km 4 of which are earth-road).
30 minutes drive to Nidri (25km).
10 minutes drive to Athani (8Km).
Further details
8km away from the villa is the Doukato promontory, with a large lighthouse built on the top of the 100m high white rocks and the ruins of a temple of Apollo. The monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Niras, founded the 17th century, is 4km from the Villa. Also, traditional old churches are all around the island. 30km to the east near Nidri is a waterfall.
